Access to the starting point:
From Bovec, drive towards the Predel border crossing, but only as far as the village Log pod Mangartom. Here (just after the chapel) you will notice a road that turns left and after a good 100m drive leads to a parking lot at the sports ground (there is also a fire station and a small open-air museum nearby).
Path description:
From the parking lot, first walk to the small open-air museum (at the entrance to the mine, you can feel the cold air blowing from the tunnel), and then follow the path towards Gorejce. The trail first descends slightly, crosses a torrent and then climbs steeply for a short distance on the other side. After a few 10 steps, the steepness subsides and the path turns slightly to the left. After crossing a small ski slope above the village of Log pod Mangartom, the trail enters the forest, where you will come across a small wooden house in which you often encounter goats. Next, cross a small torrent and the path leads to a small crossroads, where you continue upwards to the right. After a few more steps, the path leads to an artificial pool on the Gorejca stream.
