Ljubljana (Podutik) - Toško Čelo

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana bypass or the Jesenice - Ljubljana motorway, take the Ljubljana - Podutik exit, then continue to Podutik and later to Dobrova and Polhovo Gradec. Before the road starts to climb visibly towards the Preval pass, you will reach the bus turnaround in Podutik. Park at the end of the bus stop in a suitable place next to the NOB monument (no parking at the bus stop).
b) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Brezovica, then continue in the direction of Dobrova and Polhovo Gradec. At the end of Dobrova, the signs for Šentvid direct you to the right onto a narrower road. The road continues through Stranska vas, after which it begins to climb towards Preval. From Preval continue straight down and descend to the final bus stop in Podutiko. Park at the beginning of the bus stop in a suitable place next to the NOB monument (parking is prohibited at the bus stop).
c) The starting point can also be reached by LPP bus No 5 and N5 by getting off at the final bus stop in Podutiko.

Path description:
On the cubicle of a nearby toilet, which is located directly next to the bus stop, you will see markings directing you to a meadow, across which you start to climb southwards. After a short climb, you reach the edge of the forest, where you continue right into the forest. The path forks several times in the forest, and we follow the signs the whole way. The moderately steep path, which mostly follows forest tracks, turns increasingly to the right. After about 15 minutes of ascent, the path lays down or gradually descends towards Preval, which is quickly reached.
At Preval cross the main road Dobrova - Podutik and continue the ascent along a slightly narrower road in the direction of Toško Čele. Climb briefly above the quarry, then reach a sort of untidy parking area, next to the NOB monument. Leave the road here and continue slightly right into the forest, through which you begin to climb gently at first. The path initially continues parallel to the asphalt road, then turns slightly more to the right and climbs slightly more. Cross the road at a higher level and then join it just a little further on. Follow the road to the left, and we follow it to a left-hand bend, and from there straight ahead on a steeper track, which soon becomes quite close to the road. Continue right, initially along an indistinct ridge, on a path that continues through the forest. The path crosses the edge of a meadow, beyond which you reach the hunting lodge at Toškem Čel.
