Access to the starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, drive over the Vršič pass towards Bovec or vice versa, but only as far as Koča na Gozdu, where you can park in the parking lot in front of the cottage.
Path description:
From Koča na Gozdu continue along the Ruska cesta towards the Vršič Pass. After a few serpentines, the road is laid and this leads to a large meadow, along which there are a number of information boards. From here, follow the asphalt road for only about 100 or 200 m, and then on the left you will see a branch off the old road to Vršič. At the crossroads there are signs for Poštarski dom na Vršiču and Tonkina koča na Vršiču, a few metres away, which can be reached in a few steps of further walking.
