Jelendol (mansion Puterhof) - Veliki Juhej

Access to the starting point:
Drive to Tržič and then through Dovžanovo gorge to Jelendol, where you can park at a suitable place at the crossroads below the Puterhof.

Path description:
From the starting point, take the road to the left in the direction of Dolžanka and the mountains Kofce, Šija, Pungrat and Tegošče (straight ahead Medvodje, mountain pasture Dolga njiva. . . ). The way forward leads past the Puterhof Manor, where the path to the chapel and Mali and Veliki Juhej branches off to the left, and the path to the tomb of Baron Born to the right.

Leave the road here and continue left, crossing a bridge over the Dolžanka stream and then climbing through the woods. At the crossroads, take a sharp right towards the chapel, which is reached after a few minutes' further walking.

At the chapel, go left and after a short climb reach cart track, which is followed up to the left. When the cart track leads to an indistinct ridge, go left in the direction of Mali Juhej, which is reached within a few steps of further walking.
From Mali Juhej we return to cart track, which we walk along for a short distance, and then the signs for Veliki Juhej direct us to the right to a steeper path which begins to climb through the forest. There is a steep climb for a few minutes and then you reach a ridge, where you go right and within a few steps of further walking you reach Veliki Juhej.
