Access to the starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana - Koper motorway, take the Razdrto exit and continue along the old road through Razdrto towards the Vipava valley. After a few km downhill on a rather winding road, you will come to a junction where the road to Nanos branches off to the right. Take the road mentioned above, which begins to climb steeply and leads us higher up, where the road is already laid, to a small crossroads where a macadam road branches off to the right, leading to a nearby hunting lodge. Continue in the direction of the hunting lodge and park there in a large macadam parking lot.
b)From the motorway Nova Gorica - Ljubljana, take the exit Vipava and follow the road towards Podnanos. From Podnanos, continue along the old road towards Razdrt. Soon you will come to a crossroads where the road to Nanos branches off sharply to the left. Continue following the above description.
Path description:
From the parking lot, walk first to the hunting lodge, then continue in the direction of St Hieronymus and Vojka's Lodge on Nanos. After a few steps into the forest, the path begins to climb gently. After a short climb, the path leads to the undistinguished peak of Strmec, from which a short descent follows. Just a little further on, the path leads us out of the forest onto grassy slopes, which are occasionally overgrown with shrubs and individual pines. The path, which is light and hardly climbing, then joins the road for a short time, but leaves it after a few steps. The path then leaves the road a little to the right and begins to climb moderately over the increasingly scenic slopes of Nanos. Here, an unmarked path joins from the right, branching off to the right at a slightly lower level. The path ahead becomes a little steeper and, after a few minutes of further walking, leads us to the church of St Hieronymus, visible from afar.

Od glavne ceste do koče je približno osem kilometrov, nas je že skrbelo, da smo zgrešili ...
Sicer pa prijeten izlet, kadar piha burja pa je zadnji delček poti precej prepišen, sicer si pa v zatišju.

Včeraj sva s soplaninko skombinirali lep krog tu okoli: od lovske koče proti Abramu kar po razgledni cesti, pred Abramom sva s ceste prestopili desno na transferzalno pot, ki vodi od Abrama k Vojkovi koči na Nanosu, pred Vojkovo kočo sva zavili desno k Sv.Hieronimu in nato po zgoraj opisani poti nazaj na izhodišče pri lovski koči. Skupaj pribl. 4 ure razgibane in razgledne hoje.  Krog se lahko razširi z obiskom zavetišča pri Abramu in Vojkove koče na Nanosu oziroma če pogledaš na zemljevid je tu veliko možnosti za pohodništvo.
