Hotel Šimnovec - Domžalski dom na Mali planini (via Gradišče)

Access to the starting point:
Drive into Kamnik and follow the road towards the Kamnik Bistrica valley. Park in the large parking lot at the bottom pendulum station at Velika planina. Continue on the pendulum to the upper station, which is the starting point for our tour.

Path description:
After a few dozen steps, the path leads us to the Šimnovec Hotel, in front of which we see a number of mountain signs. We continue along the transport and rescue road in the direction of Zelená roba. The road we are walking on climbs at first gently, then moderately up and along the ski slope. After about 30 minutes of walking, the path leads to the Zeleni rob guesthouse.

Just a few metres before the guesthouse, the transport and rescue road turns right and, after a short climb, leads to the intermediate station of the chairlift. From here, we continue our ascent along the ski slope, which climbs steeply for a short time and quickly leads us to the upper station of the chairlift. Here you can already see the summit, which is reached after a further 2 minutes' walk.
From Gradišče, continue slightly right along the path towards the shepherd's settlement at Velika planina. A faintly visible but waymarked trail quickly leads past the shepherds' settlement of Gradiščkovih to a wide path which you follow to the right. After a few minutes of further walking, you will reach a crossroads, where you continue downhill to the left in the direction of Domžalski dom. After a short descent, the path leads to a small valley, from which you climb up to the Domžale House.
