Hotel Šimnovec - Chapel of Marija Snežna (Velika planina)

Access to the starting point:
Drive into Kamnik and follow the road towards the Kamnik Bistrica valley. Park in the large parking lot at the bottom pendulum station at Velika planina. Continue on the pendulum to the upper station, which is the starting point for our tour.

Path description:
When we get out of the swing, the path leads us after a few dozen steps to the Šimnovec Hotel, in front of which we see a number of mountain signs. We continue along the transport-rescue road in the direction of Zeleni rob. The road we are walking on is at first gentle, then climbs moderately along and along the ski slope. After about 30 minutes of walking, the path leads to the Zeleni rob guesthouse.
From Zeleni rob we continue on a less good macadam road, and we follow it only as far as the place where a marked path branches off to the right, leading to the Domžale Home and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows. We continue along a pleasant track which descends crosswise to the south-east. After a few minutes of further walking, you will see a wooden chapel on your left, which is reached first by a slight descent and then by a climb on a pleasant grassy carpet.
Orientation is very difficult in the fog, so it will be hard to find the chapel then.
