Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Kranj West and follow the road towards Golnik. Park there at the Golnik Hospital parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the asphalt road past the hospital for about ten minutes until you come to a signpost. Here the path leads you across the meadow by the fence back to the road. Just cross the road and walk across the meadow by the fence again. After that, leave the last house in the village. The path then goes into the wods and climbs moderately. Soon the path leads to cart track which we follow for a few minutes. From cart track turn right again onto the footpath, which is quite wide in places. The path then leads past a viewpoint and shortly afterwards turns sharp left. There is a slight climb and you reach cart track again. Turn right here and follow cart track to the village. In the village you will come to a road where you continue straight on the lower path towards the shelter. After a good five minutes' walk along the horizontal road, you will reach the shelter in the forest.

Morda zna kdo odgovoriti na moje vprašanje-ali do Zavetišča v Gozdu pripelje avtobus(vsaj manjši)?
Menda je cesta spodaj v vasi strma in (pre)ozka?!

V vasi, v strmini je res cesta zelo ozka in bi bilo najboljše, če pokličeš v dom ali imajo izkušnje z avtobusi do njihove postojanke.

Ko si imeli letos tradicionalni zimski pohod, je bilo kar nekaj avtobusov na tem parkirišču.

Da so bili avtobusi na parkirišču v Golniku me ne čudi, zanje priti tja ni noben problem.
Druga stvar pa je cesta, po kateri najbrž tukaj sprašuje ivona - to je cesta, ki se odcepi od glavne (neproblematične ceste) v smeri Vetrnega in naprej do vasi Gozd. Ta cesta pa je v spodnjem delu dejansko tako ozka, ima pa ob tem tudi najmanj en oster ovinek, tako da zelo dvomim, da bi se avtobus lahko prebil tam skozi. Šlo pa bi s kombijem.

Se strinjam s predhodnico, vendar pa manjši avtobus bi pot do zavetišča lahko prevozil brez večjih težav. ..je pa res na najmanj dveh delih ozko in strmo
