Deutschfeistritz - Schartnerkogel (on road)

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Maribor-Graz-Salzburg motorway (A9) after a few short tunnels outside Graz and continue right on the expressway towards Wien-Bruck/Muhr-Peggau.
Leave the expressway at the Peggau-Mitte exit and turn right towards Deutschfeistritz.
After about 800 m turn right towards Deutschfeistritz.
You arrive in Deutschfeitritz, cross the railway line and turn left at the next crossroads and then immediately right (signpost Tennishalle).
Follow the narrow street and turn right at the next fork (Tennishalle sign). You will come to a parking lot where you park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the narrow dirt road towards Gamskoglu (route 19).
After 50m turn sharp left and follow the track steeply uphill.
Follow the signs along the forest path. The signs direct you up a small ridge, then downhill. You will come to an open meadow, over which is a power line.
At the edge of the meadow, go back into the forest and you will reach a dirt road.
Follow the road gently up and down. Then join the tarmac road.
Follow the road up to the left and after almost 1 km (with a wide lane on the right) leave the asphalt road and turn sharp left onto the dirt road.
Continue on the dirt road and enjoy the view. At all subsequent road connections, stick to the most well-maintained road. After about 3km at a crossroads, continue straight on (the left fork leads to a fence or private land).
Continue along the road, but only until it starts to descend to the other side of the hill. Leave the road at this point, turn right up the hill and after 150 m reach the top.
