Bohinjska Bistrica (railway station) - Ajdovski gradec (along Sava)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenica take the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. In Bohinjska Bistrica turn onto Ajdovska cesta and follow it past the church to the railway station, where you park.

Path description:
From the railway station, walk along Ajdovska cesta and before the bridge over the Belca stream, turn right downhill and then left after a few metres, following the asphalted road, which turns into a macadam road after 100 metres. With a view of Ajdovski gradec (580 m), continue under the railway bridge (which leads over the Sava Bohinjka) to the end of the macadam road, where the house stands (officially, this whole section of the macadam road is part of the Ajdovska cesta, which is therefore the longest street in Bohinjska Bistrica). In front of the house, you will see the signs for the Grmečica waterfall. We do not follow these signs and continue past the house across the meadow, with the bank on our right (and soon a hunting observation post). The path soon starts to climb and in the next few minutes first climbs steeply, then lays down a little and climbs again briefly until it reaches its highest point (a grassy patch). Here the forest climbs to the left to the village of Nemški Rovt, and on the right you see the path to Ajdovski gradec, where you turn. The path climbs transversely and then becomes more gentle as it turns left towards the summit. The return can be made by following the direct marked route (in the route of the view from the summit).
