Access to the starting point:
On the island of Mljet, drive towards NP Mljet (west). Go through Polace towards Pomena, and about 1km after Polace turn left (direction "Jezero"). After a short descent you will reach the roadblock and the Ambulante, where you can park on the gravel parking lot.
Entrance to NP Mljet is charged at 100 kuna (in 2013) per person.
Path description:
From the starting point (fig. 1), signpost (2) directs you along the asphalted road, from which the next signpost (3) directs you on the road to Montococ. After a short climb, the path reaches a crossroads and we continue to the right (Polače on the left). After another 200 m we reach a crossroads, from which the marked path to Veliki Gradac branches off to the right, and we continue straight on the apparently unmarked path.
The markings soon continue and we quickly reach a new crossroads. If you look carefully at the rock on the ground, the markings point you to the right. There is a very level path, at first, and then quite steep at the end, to the top (5). At the top there is a hut (6) and an information board (7).

Alternativni vzpon je iz naselja Soline ob Solinskem kanalu. Tu ni hoje po asfaltu, temveč ste od začetka na hribovski stezi. Razgled z vrha je veličasten - vsekakor obvezna tura za vsakega, ki je zmožen priti npr. vsaj na Šmarno goro. Opis in slike s poti.
