The hut is located on the southern side of the highest peaks of the western Julian Alps. From the hut you have a beautiful view towards Jôf di Montasio and the other peaks in this mountain range. To the south, the Kanin mountain range is visible. Prestreljenik and its window are the best to see. The hut is open in the summer season.
