Planina Cave

Description of mountain:
Planina Cave is a karst cave located west of Planinsko Polje. From Planina Cave flows the river Unica (formerly Pivka and Rak, later Ljubljanica), which spills over the Planinsko polje after heavi rains.
The Planina Cave, Postojna and Rakov Škocjan caves are interconnected underground, so that geographically there is only one cave. However, as all these caves have their own entrance, each has its own name.
In the vicinity of Planina Cave, in the immediate vicinity of the parking lot, there is also the Little Castle or Raubar's Tower, which was built in the 14th century.
