Uf, this one is long. How about the section Vrh Rup and Oblice, are there any anchors in between and can it be done without rope?
Thanks for the reply.

On this section there are useful anchors and a short rope hanging over the wall. But I recommend using your own rope.

3.6. we did a circular tour from the educational center along the path towards Planina Bali, but before it we turned left over Meja to the caves in Slapcah, further over Velika Rupa and along the gully to Oblice on the Loška stena ridge, after the jump we reached Oblice 2246m, the highest peak of today's tour. We returned to the ridge, continued to Vrh Krnice and down the southern ridge to Kobila 2098m. Down the gully to Mala Krnica and via the saddle we descended along the Naklo ridge to Kluže fortress.

Kluže - Izgora - Mala Krnice Peak - Krnica Peak - Kluže

Recently on the recommendation of Slavko Frantar/Čop (GRS), this peak wouldn't leave my mind...
To where human foot rarely steps is felt already at the morning dawn of ascending from Kluže. Trail nicely followable throughout, which at the saddle of traversing dense steep grasses in this period towards the gully gets lost. Just here starts the nicest untouched part of the path.
Scree gully, visible from afar to pathless connoisseurs, offers easy scrambling (UIAA I on the left side), then in steep grasses to the summit. Lush vegetation towards Krnica Peak surprises with a viper on the path, sunning among a bunch of gentians.
Extent of the long and strenuous path is rewarded on the summit with teary eyes of delight at views all around.
Wonderful stimulus for next time...traverse the whole ridge to Briceljka roped.

thanks nasmeh

Yesterday I went to this beautiful summit via the "gentian ridge". No, it's not some new approach route mežikanje, just on the ridge from Vrh Male Krnice all the way to the second sub-summit it's really full of these flowers… Long and strenuous path, but really worth the time and effort, views in good weather are wonderful.
The trail from Kluže past Izgora to the hunter's bivouac all through the forest is good, higher up - when the path reaches open terrain - it's a bit harder to follow. By following Mihelič's, Stritar's and Habjan's descriptions for this route I had only one orientation slip-up which didn't take too much time.
At the saddle below Vrh Male Krnice the path "ran out", I followed just my "nose" nasmeh or the instructions of the aforementioned mountaineers and crossed the nasty steep slope below that summit to the gully entrance, where along two red marks I climbed over a small step and continued to the gully exit, where higher up the final ridge already formed. Ascent to it across grassy Mala Krnica is steep (like most of the route), I already mentioned numerous gentians on it, and ever wider views opened up.
Vrh Krnice has two sub-summits - only when I spotted Log pod Mangrtom deep below was I sure I was really on the right summit velik nasmeh Right by the summit cairn a small viper had reserved a spot, arguing its reservation with typical defensive posture nasmeh I didn't disturb it and chose a more suitable spot for rest.. It got a bit cloudy, but views all around still beautiful…
I still had quite some time till dusk, so on descent I didn't rush, still the beautiful day ended (too) soon.

On Tuesday I was with my frequent companion Tone and his friend Radko on Vrh Krnice. We started at the parking lot in Bavšica on the path towards Bali. Just before it there's still remains of a large avalanche that reminds of a huge dump of hauled earth. Right after the avalanche you need to turn into the valley and stick to its left side all the time. After less than an hour of walking we reached the caves in Slapci. These are two natural bivouacs where 30 to 40 people could sleep. From there we turned around the rock spur towards Velike Rupe, where we should have turned right towards the ridge under Oblica, or left to Kobilja Glava. But we chose the shortest and "easiest" middle path, which led into the gully between Kobilja Glava and Kobila. However, at the end the gully turned out to be a much tougher nut than it first appeared. Only thanks to Tone's somewhat risky climbing did Radko and I not get stuck in a trap. After climbing out of the gully he belayed us with a 15m rope, so we also safely exited the gully. We continued climbing on extremely beautiful and compact rock to Kobila. From there to Vrh Krnice it was still good 100m height on grassy ridge. Then followed an exciting and for some very long descent to Kluže. That's a special story which maybe someone else will write about.

Since Ivo described it quite nicely, I won't repeat too much. In the fourth sentence he expressed himself a bit awkwardly, but anyway there are no traces of a path that doesn't actually exist. During the ascent we enjoyed, looked around, since from this viewpoint you rarely observe the surroundings. From the wonderful steep meadow, some caves at its end, to the field of blooming lilies a bit higher. Since the weather was pleasant, and Ivo also had the ascent direction marked on his device, we progressed nicely. Only the exit from the cirque stopped us a bit, which Ivo already described, but it could be climbed a bit to the left even without a rope. As said, the whole day there were three times seven drops of rain, fearing more, we also changed the descent plan and headed to Kluže, since steep wet grasses might be quite demanding, although we had crampons with usvelik nasmeh.
Here begins the story that Ivo ended. I also won't go into detailseek, just mention that my bad memory from seven years ago misled me a bit and directed me into the wrong valley. The legs felt the consequence of the mistake even yesterday, as they covered 530m extra, in the lower part very steep ascentvelik nasmehvelik nasmeh. But since the devil has the young, the exploring wasn't over. At the hunter's bivouac, at 1350m the path runs out. With RaDko we explore the area, the grass around it completely untouched, no trace of any pathlet.
Over the 'wire' a friendly voice cheers us that we need to go back a good 30m, where we'll see a faint pathlet that turns left into the valley.... A few years ago ice storm felled a lot of trees, so in that section they rerouted the path. We ran into the second good soul after descent at the junction below Kluže fortress, a friendly gentleman drove us to the parked car in Bavšica....

Krnica Peak/Loška Wall/21.6.2020
Due to weather forecast, postponed ascent to Krnica by one day, regardless that forecasters lately drive us nuts, we said let's go what will be will be, and went. Tried twice and turned almost under summit twice, said third time lucky. Today hope to stand on top. Everyone going to Krnica summit knows long steep demanding path awaits with 1800m gain on steep wild pathless, high wet grass, loads of ticks, snakes, ibex, chamois, no human shapes. Today such day, midway rain started trouble on steep grassy pathless, not mentioning Siberian wind. Sounds horrible or mad, tell you we enjoyed endlessly in remote solitude, and amazing views.

1. 8. 2020 Kluže past hunters' bivouac and path continuation in steep forest. World opens and rewarded with great views. Followed little path as long as could. Where turns right by chains no path found, none there and searching in heat, pretty hot in high grasses decided descend maybe return. Despite descriptions with us tried find cairn part didn't. Went look ridge seemed passage elsewhere. There by that higher tree pile stones. Carefully descend high grasses. No snake sight. Just ticks and bivouac full hungry mosquitoes. Probably humidity. Still nice trip. Rarely meet anyone here even Saturday summer. We no one.

Given yesterday heat maybe better not found continuation, later on path little shade nasmeh Early autumn bit more suitable for this path, heat can be tiring...
After crossing chains continue traverse under ridge similar height over gully (where spotted cairn) and later find path to ridge (another chain) to forested peak (pics 19 32). Little before this grassy narrow ridge (pic 33) reach forest, turn left down to shady grassy gully ascend to saddle Vrh Male Krnice and mentioned peak. From there continuation easier - at least orientation.
