Has anyone climbed Kanin from the Italian side from the bivouac, over Krnica to high Kanin?

Over Vrh Krnice many times already, also back down, and also further along High Rosojan path.

How do you remember the path over Krnica orientation-wise, is it marked? Were you over it this year so I'd know conditions.
P.S. Are you maybe from Podvelka, like me?

Path from Marušič bivouac is marked and secured in first part, later just markings. Here and there need hands. Currently dry, Sunday night might snow a bit.

Gozdec - ruins of old hut - Mali - Veliki and Zadnji Dol - summit V. Kanin - Dolgi prodi - Vrh Osojnic - D station - C station - Gozdec.

On Sunday 12.7. I went up via Julia. Everything normal, before the ferrata there's a snowfield you can cross normally in running or "approach" shoes (depending on how familiar you are with snow). No snow elsewhere. Ferrata is "zero". Regards

On Saturday ascent to High Kanin via Julia. No winter gear needed to the start, but if the night is colder, the snow can be quite hard.

We descended via Vrh Krnice and ferrata Rosalba Grasselli to bivouac Marussich. The path is well secured and passable without problems.

Then crossing under Kanin along the mulatiera to well-deserved refreshment. nasmeh

(If anyone's interested, return gondola ticket is 10 EUR, runs from 8:30 to 17:30 with one-hour break at noon.) cool

And who can see the Prestreljenik window back there...?

Hi Franci. Looks like we met then on the path from Kanin towards Vrh Krnice. All morning there was no one around except one Italian zmeden

. For all those who haven't been here yet, just that ferrata Rosalba Grasselli continuing towards Kanin is quite airy in places and there's quite some easy climbing too. But the described loop is certainly one of the nicer approaches to Kanin nasmeh
