Very nice report-bravo. Whoever climbs to Vernar is king, said our unfortunately deceased expert of these slopes years ago, who unfortunately had an accident in Italy. Those thirty meters from Mali Vernar to the foot of the main summit are really delicate. I think I was up there only three times, to the fore-summit more times and many gave up at the fore-summit. To the fore-summit I always go to see the Triglav sky beauty-that blue beauty of our mountains.

Yes, on that part concentration is really needed, whoever is not sure of themselves better stay at the fore-summit. The good side is that there are already very nice views there too.

Oh, beauty Vernar above Veliko polje and still unfulfilled wish to step on its summit, which tempts me a lot. Once I tried to go up but stayed at fore-summit because I didn't dare further on that rocky descent or whatever.

Yesterday Saturday Krma-Vernar-Vodnikov dom-Konjsko sedlo-Krma

Start in Krma where there were about 50 cars in the morning. Further on wide path towards Polje, where we turned towards Bohinjska vrata. First up scree, then short snowfield which we crossed without major issues (possible to bypass 10m lower). On saddle continued on steep grass to ridge. There starts easy climbing grade 1 and after 15 min on summit where it was quite windy. Went back towards vrata from there turned to shortcut to Vodnikov dom. Ascent to Konjsko sedlo short and from there just descent to car.
In the end 1600m elevation and 17km.

Yesterday, mountaineers in the organization of GK Limberk hiked a nice and demanding path to Vernar. From Bohinjska vrata to the fore-summit of Vernar, the path is very steep. Further, very exposed and dangerous for slipping. From Bohinjska vrata to the summit, the path is not marked. Views wonderful. Nice tour despite the heat that burned strongly. Starting point Rudno polje - near barracks.
