I agree, garmont. Velika is beautiful. Can someone help me - what's the condition of the road from Kranjski Rak up? Thanks, Marko

Yesterday afternoon nice weather lured me to Velika Planina, it was sunny, just a strong wind was blowing. Lp Sonja

On Velika Planina it's always nice, already now we see blooming bellflowers, in about a month the planina will dress in the violet color of saffron. Most alpine flowers from mid-June and July. I wish a nice trip and lots of enjoyment in admiring the flowers. Lp Sonja

Today I went after a long time again a bit to Velika. Gotta say, it's still beautiful, the ričet is still good, not to mention the beer

Yesterday we visited Velika Planina again. It was wonderful and I recommend you visit it these days. There is a huge amount of crocuses and snowdrops. Sunbathing like on the beach, there were so many people at Jarški too.

In these days I recommend a visit to Mala and Velika Planina, when Podlesek and other spring flowers appear in all their beauty. Maybe this too: A group of hikers gathered, who via Stahovica, Sv. Primož, Pasje pečine and then a stop at Jarški dom on Mali Planini, set off every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. During weekdays we start the hike at 14:30 from Vegrad above Stahovica, on Sundays at 6am. If anyone wants to join us we will be very glad. L.P. Klemen

I would gladly join, but I want to start with the group at the lower cable car station and via pl. Konjščica reach Velika Planina and then descend back to Stahovice. But I don't know how to solve transport from Stahovice to the lower station? Does anyone have an idea? I would also ask for information on at what time this is feasible? Thanks

I can only tell you that this path is quite steep. But doable. Slowly!

The nicest to me seems the path from Krivčevo (gostilna Jurček) - at start through forest quite steep, then path opens and to the end very picturesque. Up in two hours moderate walking.

Fika: The solution is simple. Leave the first car at the Stahovica parking lot, with the second drive to the cable car station or Kopiše, from there 3-4 paths to Velika Planina. Return via Pasje pečine and Sv. Primož to the car in Stahovica. Then drive to the other car (with buddy) at Kopiše. As for paths to Velika Planina, the nicest over "Martin stene", then "Rigelj", also Doljski graben nice. To Jarški dom on Mali Planina approx 3-4h, for those with "innate" condition half as much, no hard feelings. We can go together, just tell me when. Best, Klemen H.

And from the direction of Kranjski Rak along the macadam no more snow? What about Konj? How much walking from Mala Planina to Konj? (can't find decent data anywhere). Thanks, regards.
