If you have some fitness and aren't clumsy, you can stroll to Uršlja gora from Slemena or Naravskih ledin, without: crampons, poles and avalanches.

Hi, thanks to everyone for the answers. We were up there today with my husband; from Poštarski dom via Kozarnica. The path had no major problems; a bit icy; otherwise very nice; especially the views. To Uršlja gora I'll go again.

Raina Don't say it was your first time on Urška. Did they get you on that back side? LP

Yeah, I was really there for the first time But as I already said, definitely not the last time, even though the starting point to one of the Slovenian hills is almost at my doorstep.

Yesterday's day on Uršlja gora was wonderful. We started the ascent from Slemena along the forest track past the barrier to the top. Beautiful view from the top, as far as Triglav. Descent via Naravskih ledin to Žerjav. The path to Naravskih ledin is icy but passable with a little care. For those who are not sure of their step, I recommend microspikes.

Also on Sunday similar conditions, the microspikes were quite handy for the first half hour on the descent to Naravske ledine Warm at the top, especially in the lee super...

Today Esther, Tadej and I climbed up to Uršlja gora (1699 m) via the ironworks and count's paths, the path was quite icy in shaded areas, in sunny slopes the snow was mushy. Just below the summit a moderate southwest wind started blowing, temperature rose in an instant, inversion was very pronounced today, since in Kotlje and on Ivarček as well as other places in upper Mežiška valley it was still real Siberia At the summit there were moments of quite strong southwest wind, otherwise the weather was really favorable to us today, views were very nice, somewhat more translucent cloudiness only towards the Julians, elsewhere clear. We descended via the steep path over Kozji hrbet. Highly recommend using crampons!! Good luck and nice mountain greetings to all forum colleagues

Hi Hribovc, you also spent a nice Saturday and enjoyed natural beauties. I see you were very photographic today with excellent success. Interesting places, completely unknown to me. Shame they built that antenna by the church . Doesn't belong there too much! LP

Hehe, but your places and your hikes are completely unknown to me, you should swap locations sometime That "antenna" or RTV transmitter and St. Ursula church are somehow the trademark of Uršlja gora.
