Good to read something like this too (of course not wishing it on anyone), but a real-life and realistic story, without embellishing how everything was super and oh and such.
I hope it's really just the hit and the ribs are intact.

I'd go to the ER in your place before 24 hours pass from the injury. It can pay off if you get a diagnosis and check-up sooner, and they take mountain injuries less lightly than we hikers sometimes. Good luck nasmeh

Ouch guys, just glad it ended well and may it stay lucky for long... Thanks for sharing the interesting point. Of course we have chamois there, and mid-mountains (Golte, Smrekovec) have their herds living there. What such a stone could do to the head, brrr. Zoki, you described very well what you checked and did after the injury, bravo! How did you two climb Zlatko's variant (higher left into the gully) on the slope above Plesnikovo, wowcool

From Roban along the road and shortcuts to Knez and from there just before Knezova planina to the summit. In this steep shortcut you can almost completely avoid snow, while the path from Knezova planina is still completely snow-covered.
New road from Knez reaches up to 1500m a.s.l.… unfortunately.zadrega

Pity about the changes on this side of Strelovec. Luckily, the northern part of the extensive slopes is a bit more immune to interventions due to the terrain shape. Still. True that at this altitude bread for living is hard, people of strong character. Nice trip! lp

Yesterday's day off work was made for hills. Wet grasses above Palenk soaked us to the knees, but didn't spoil the mood as we walked the freshly washed trail leading uphill. We just brushed Strelovec, walked part of the ridge and descended the Klemenče planje to the world above Plesnikova planina. This time more careful than last year, of course with helmet on. From the planina we headed through the unreal world to Jama, from there back to the valley to Kitajec for coffee. Just then clouds covered the sky again. Beautiful!

Waterfall called Kačjek or Zgornji Levi Ivovec. Think water not marked on map (Ivovec), otherwise Kačjek written. Marked path passes by it: Plesnikova planina - Klemenča jama.
Zoran-nice👌

Thanks panda and biba!

True as biba wrote. Kačjek name for waterfall known to me too, since area by waterfall named Kačjek on map. Sorry, no GPS, but as mentioned, marked path from Klemenča jama direction to Plesnikova planina. When enough water, worth a visit!

peter2, how's the road to Knez, possible with a normal car there?

We came to Solčava over Jezerski vrh and Pavličevo sedlo. In Solčava there's quite some damage from storms and floods still visible today. The road to Knez itself is fine. Below there's some asphalt, higher up gravel that any car can handle.
Have a nice trip!
Best, Peter S.
