Darinka,
great. I see that Podskalar is doing well, fine. Regarding transport, you know, call V. and wait a bit, if he's not home by chance, send the neighbor velik nasmeh Trentski Pelc is no bogeyman, I have it in plan again this year, with addition to Srebrnjak, first time we skipped the latter with V. If you're more adventurous, there's a nice trip from Starega utra (or a bit below the hunting hut the path starts) to Ušje. Wild, rarely visited, even one fixed rope (hunters?) in the gully above one ledge. At Kopiščarju and neighbor (S.) you get more detailed info mežikanje

I saw Lojze for the first time. He surprises with modesty and when he tells many interesting things. If I hadn't lost some time with Marijan searching for the path I would probably have gone to see what the path to Trentarski Pelc looks like. But it'll wait. I hitchhike really rarely. And it's a pleasant feeling when you see there are still people willing to help. Although they were foreign girls who stopped for me. Hope dies last.

Darinka, I'm interested in the path along the mulatjera to Staro utro. Is it, given this year's avalanche period, normally passable. I was up there years ago and it tempts me again. Thanks and good luck.

The path along the mulatjera is normally passable. The trees that were on the path higher under the hut have been removed by hunters.
You can pass by.1

As part of our vacation in Bovec, on Friday we first headed to Staro utro, then to the nearby peak Na Glavah, which is a beautiful viewpoint. On the 3rd bend we meet a chamois that isn't afraid of us at all, but stealthily steps in front of us a bit, then bolts into the rocks. Blue watched it like the ninth wonder velik nasmeh
We also meet Lojze, he was hoeing his field, we chatted pleasantly with him. He really is such a friendly gentleman. After that there was no living soul, we enjoyed the whole day in peace, silence and solitude, which is priceless for me nasmeh
No snow to the saddle, from the hut to the summit there's some, just enough to sink up to your ass velik nasmeh But we persevered and enjoyed the magnificent views from the top in all directions. On the descent back I landed in the snow a couple times too, so rest at the hunting hut was more than welcome. Descent went without problems, just the path drags a bit, since some distances between bends are reeeally long (700-800 m). Super sunny day with my two tailed ones nasmeh

We've been eyeing the path to Staro Utro for a while and walked it for the first time on 30.10.2023. The day was rainy, occasionally pouring like from a bucket. No distant views as expected, water gushing in numerous streams from everywhere. In the last part of the path, a larch paradise opens up and here you really soak in the wonderful autumn colors.

Despite heavy rain, met only one mushroom picker and as expected no hikers. All photos taken under an umbrella.

The path is very well maintained. Bends are numbered from 1 to 24. Does perhaps at bend number 9 the hunting trail from the church join? We'll come back to these parts where time flows much slower... nasmeh

As long as Lojze is alive, everything there will be in order.

Podskalar, as they call Lojze Hosner locally, will soon have 80. May he enjoy his homestead at the eighth bend of the road to Berebica nasmeh

27.12. from Trenta along the wonderful mule track to Staro Utro.

Start in Trenta under the cloud dome that's been persisting for a couple days. After a few clumps of hardened snow by the road I'd guess winter conditions start soon.zmeden Actually the first snow patches appeared almost 700 m higher. Above 1400 m walking on softened snow began. Before the hut up to 25 cm. Winter gear not needed.
As expected, I rose above the clouds and enjoyed the views. nasmeh
As expected, on the whole path I met no one, not even Lojze.
It added up to nearly 16 km.

My wish for this mule track above Trenta was also fulfilled during vacation in Kr. Gora end of July.
Boldly we three set off, me, husband and dog. Since it was a nice Sunday, it was quite crowded up there - altogether we met 4 hikers and on return also local Lojze. The Primorska hikers turned at the pasture, but refreshment and rest at the spring gave me new strength to continue all the way to the hunting hut at Berebica and further to the summit Na Glavi. An older couple from Germany(!) followed us, staying at nearby camp in Trenta, he found this path on the app because no steep climbs allowed. Really none, but still kilometers and elevation add up ... So we met several times, snacked together at the hut, even discovered the summit together in that overgrown scrub (follow left at the end of the path, not right!). Views from the mule track when it opens near the hut were great, from the top even better.
But on descent it got hotter and hotter, which affected the dog mostly. We chatted with the Germans, probably Lojze had been listening to us from his garden for a while and then called out how loud we were. velik nasmeh Yeah, probably even more so if you live and work in such peace and idyll ... The Germans were amazed by him. He asked a bit about the path condition, all bp. As icing on the cake, refreshment in the Soča in the valley was perfect, we really revived. nasmeh
end of the road, from here only on foot, haha :) the mule track with switchbacks really drags on to here, but we're close to the goal now1
