Snow on Slavnik only in certain parts below the summit, which poses no obstacles. Probably remnants of morning snowfall in Notranjska and Primorska on the 15th. Snežnik probably also just patches from what was seen. Up to 1500m altitude practically no snow. A little on Nanos, something could be found in Trnovski forest.

Today we visited Slavnik. At this time it offers plenty of flowers.

The hut is open only on weekends - for us even on Wednesday.

Wonderful winter day in perfect winter idyll. From Skadanščina via Malih Vrat to Slavnik is 3.5 hours of pure enjoyment.

Please for the latest info on the path, iciness on Slavnik, starting from Podgorje, is it icy?

I'm also interested if anyone has info on what the path to Slavnik is like. We would go today from Podgorje but since there are kids I'd rather know beforehand if the path is very frozen.

On Sunday we went up the forest path from Podgorje, which was icy in a few places. At the top we were greeted by beautiful views in all directions of the sky ...

We were not the only ones enjoying that day

Today from Prešnica to Slavnik. The first third of the path is a bit icy, but you can bypass everything along the path on dry grass. The rest of the path is mostly covered with frozen snow, so there's no problem with walking. Here and there there's also a bit of bare ground. Otherwise sunny and warm and not too windy.

Yesterday from Skandanščina to Slavnik. Crampons not needed, as the snow is soft and trodden, almost no ice. Beautiful views and nice trodden path through karst forests.

The trail from Prešnica is practically dry, the upper part of the trail is quite wet. Up top today there's fog and wind.

Today we had a nice family trip to Slavnik. Started in Podgorje. In the morning quite a cold wind was blowing. We went up a steep trail. Some time on the marked path, some time "our own". But the main thing is we conquered the summit. In between nice views. In the hut tea to warm up. Very friendly staff. Back on the gentle trail. Wind almost stopped. Views far around. Lots of people. We'll return to Slavnik nasmeh

Has anyone been to Slavnik in the last few days? I'm wondering how much flowers will still be there in a week.

I was on Slavnik on Tuesday, 16 May. Along the trail from Prešnica in the forest peonies were mostly already bloomed out, above 800 m some still in bud. On the meadow below the summit narcissuses were blooming.
I don't know much about flowers, don't know what will be with them in a week.
