Anyone going soon to Škrlatica then to Dolkova Špica and then other peaks nearby (Stenar, Križ, Gamsovec) with return via Luknja to Vrata?

Hello. Approximately how much time from Škrlatica to the top of Dolkova špica? Thanks.

If you're a hiker, at least an hour and a half.

Does anyone happen to know if there's a mass on Škrlatica this year too?

@SviscEncijan: Canceled (CLICK) We used this Saturday to visit Škrlatica and Dolkovo Špica. Parking at Prodih and bus to Vrata. Warning: no bus, it's a van for 20 people. Today 30 of us squeezed in Otherwise great option! Path to Škrlatica in sunny weather, the closer to the climbing section entry, the more it clouded over. At 2300m we refilled water from melting snow A few people ahead crossed the scree below the climbing entry lower, making access easier as it doesn't slide under us. Regarding fixed protection, except the traverse at 2400m, nowhere to clip. Great for scrambling lovers though! Summit views limited unfortunately. We descended via scree to Rdeča škrbina. Path below summit quite eroded, crumbly, can't imagine rappelling here. Also 100m below summit warning about active rockfall. Sadly limited views on DŠ too. But @lijanjea's estimate is correct - Škrlatica-DŠ 1h 30min, thanks. We descended the western path. About a third down (at the "nasty" detail where you traverse up to the rock) we noticed a direct (trodden, unmarked) path on scree right below, shortening the route nicely. Later saw it's marked on Suunto map, on hribi.net map with black dots, below Spodnja Dolkova špica). At own risk. Descent to bivouac and check Aljažev dom. Great tour, 2000m elevation and 17km.

I've wanted to visit Škrlatica for a long time, but to be honest I'm a bit worried about the fitness demands, so question - would it make sense to extend it to two days and reach Pogačnikov dom first day and then next day to Škrlatica, or is the hut already so far + some extra elevation because of that, that it would just prolong everything quite a bit, not particularly ease things?

Škrlatica from Vrat is 6km and 1800 elevation + return. Kriški podi from Vrat is 6km and 1200 elevation. Škrlatica from Kriški podi is 5.5 km and 1150 elevation + return. I would choose the first option

From Kriški to Škrlatica it really drags, in between Križ and Dolkova špica too. With those 2 mentioned no need to go right to the top, but quite some extra elevation bashing. And annoying Rdeča škrbina. But yeah, bit shorter than from valley, not by much.

In my opinion, it only makes sense to think about sleeping in bivouac Na Rušju.

Via Kriške pode it's really long to Škrlatica. Slowly but early start (4h/5h) and you'll be on top by 10-11. If not sure if you can do 1800 elevation, definitely test some hill with 1500 elevation before (e.g. Spik, Storžič from Bašelj etc...)
