For the first variant I don't know (Križ?), for the second from Grintovec via Dolška škrbina to Jezersko Kočna about 1.5 hours, then to Češka koča another circa 2 hours descent.

Križ = Koroška Rinka. From J. Kočna do you need to go back to Dolške škrbine and then to Češka koča?

I know about Križ-Koroška Rinka too. The connection Križ-Turski žleb and Skuta is less known to me, as from Rinke we already step onto Male pode and further to Skuta. Between Skuta and Grintovec there are two further variants: 1. Over Dolgi hrbet-Mlinarsko sedlo-Grintovec, 2. past Štruce and over Škrbino on the lower path to Mlinarsko sedlo and then to the top. The upper path is much longer due to the climbing part. From Skuta to Grintovec on the climbing path about 2h30min.

Turski Žleb is not "involved" here... it usually serves as ascent towards Rinkam or somewhere else from Okrešlja or even better on the return, if we go to Križ from Mrzlega dola or we have to get the car in Logarska...

I'm looking at the route map on the PZS site and there's no other than going from Koroška Rinka to Turski žleb and then to Skuta. Is there another path??

Turski Žleb..Can be Mala Rinka, then Štajerska, then Križ, then Kranjska...or without Kranjska to Pode and to Skuta...But if you go from Mrzlega dola to Križ and to Skuta Turski žleb is not on the path... Something doesn't add up

I think it's meant that you arrive from Rink at the top of Turski žleb and not that you go through it.

The path to Skuta branches off earlier, at Malih podih and it's well marked...at least on 28.7. it was still like that...

Solido, read the guidebooks and look at the pictures next to them, read people's feelings, current conditions, some tips, suggestions from others,... yes all that is in the guidebooks and maps. It says everything there, even which cable is broken,... Lepenatka thanks, that's what I wanted to know, because as I mentioned, this path is not drawn on the map on the PZS site, if their map is not authoritative, then I think all who go there for the first time need a lot of luck.

You're right, peter skala: all of us who go to the mountains for the first time somewhere and rely exclusively or mainly on couch potato web info (even if under PZS patronage), we need some luck, but I don't know if we deserve it?! I used the first person plural in the previous sentence only for nicer sound. Good luck then!

...yeah, maybe peter skala, when he gets all this abundant information, including feelings, impressions and suggestions from other people, won't even want to do this path anymore... ,... everything will be too clear to him and ...(just in case PZS should install a traffic light under Skuta for Peter...) Good luck everyone

See SilvestrO, my feelings up there are the only thing no one can take from me, agree!? Let them decide about the semaphore, because on the Hiking map Upper Savinja Valley the path is drawn directly to Mali Podi, there's no path to Turski Žleb, that's why I asked this question. Still no answer how many hours of walking from Koroška Rinka-Mali Podi-Skuta???

Poor "peter skala", nobody wants to help him. Well, if he only still lacks the answer to how long from (sorry, "from"!) Kranjska Rinka to Skuta, he's doing pretty well. I think about two hours would be enough. Traffic lights in the mountains ... Wow, Silvester, good idea! That would be something!

Well, it finally worked. I was almost giving up. Instead of that money for the guidebook (and something extra) I'll buy beer, and we'll drink it at the junction "Peter skala semaphore"!!!

But I'll treat, now that I know where and how and how long I'll walk. We can easily agree on exactly one hour!

If you're there earlier, don't despair, look around and where the steam rises, that's the locomotive me, and I'm coming.

Well Gorazd..., I'd add at least half an hour to your two. True though, if "skalaš Peter" goes on steam, that time could shorten significantly. Just careful with the boasting, so the boiler doesn't explode!

I'd subtract another half hour from Gorazd's , because steam locomotives are no longer "in fashion". Hehe, experiences and cold beer at the end matter. , everyone walk at their own pace and don't criticize others. Time is relative or irrelevant. Lpp
