Peaks above Soriška planina

Ridges on Slatnik are in places completely windblown, towards Možic not. Snow varies quite a bit, but I can say it's well over a meter. But in the evening when we returned, crust was forming on top.

Today on skis to Slatnik, further along the ridge, past barracks to Možic and along eastern edge above Sorisko, from where I ski-toured back through the forest. Ridges mostly windblown, elsewhere untouched powder that sinks even with skis. Views excellent. Regards

The idyll probably gave you wings,
so the snow depth didn't reject you.
On fresh powder super descent
that confirms also the chamois that happily calls.
Nice regards!

I'm interested in "snowy" or "snowless" conditions on the ridge between Šavnik and Dravh?

From what I saw today from Petrov Brdo, the southern side is quite dry. From Možic towards Šavnik there might still be quite a lot of snow.

Me again. Does anyone know more about snow conditions than the camera from Soriska Planina?

We took advantage of the nice Sunday to visit Soriska Planina with surrounding hills, the path is nice and suitable for a wider circle of mountaineers and hikers, let the pictures say more.

Today to the nearby peaks above Soriska Planina, even before sunrise.
There was little snow, no ice, and the day at this altitude wonderful nasmeh

Hello, I'm interested if anyone has already crossed from Soriska Planina to Kravja Črna Gora and then skied down to Bistrica. Mainly interested in walking time schedule, and possible orientation loops, dangers (of course besides classic winter troubles) etc.
Would perhaps a descent from Slatnik to the plain behind M. Vrh and from there to the valley be even more sensible, I remember that there was another route there, once popular ski resort on Kobla...

The crossing is popular among ski tourers, as well as hikers. It doesn't matter if you descend to the meadow behind Mali vrh, or continue along the former family slope to the top of Kobla.
From the saddle between Možic and Slatnik towards the meadow behind Mali vrh it's mostly forest, the rest are grassy terrains.
Well, on 12.12 at 13:00 I was supposed to ski all that on the new ski slope. But this year obviously not ...
Currently there's hardly enough snow for a sample, so you'll have to wait for better conditions.

Anyway, I don't expect conditions to be good for quite a while velik nasmeh Just planning a bit ahead. What's happening with the new ski resort in Bohinj is another sad story mrk pogled

We headed towards Sorica to check the weather around here, and we were quite lucky. From Litostrojski dom along the ski slope first to Lajnar and then across Slatnik to Možic. Along the ridge the snow is wind-packed, but didn't cause major problems for walking. Only the lower part of the ski slope is operating, where kids mainly enjoy.

Shorter tour over completely dry peaks above Soriska Planina.
We waited for the sunset, but clouds over the Padska lowland covered the sun.
Still nice.

On Wednesday it was a nice sunny day. From Litostrojska hut to the saddle between Lajnar and Slatnik there were some tracks (snowshoes). It was possible without, but it collapsed here and there. At the saddle and further along the ridge towards the hut (direction Slatnik) snow blown off, but not icy. From the hut to Možic again deeper snow, up to 60 cm. We met only two hikers. The views - pictures say it all.
