Sleme-Govca

Today I went to check conditions on Olševa.
Road to sleme is in good condition, despite timber extraction in several places. Also our work which we did in December after the storm was well done, so today I didn't have too much work. Now the path is without obstacles but some work for "heavy machinery". Snow patches or deposits are still there, but don't hinder walking. Lots of snow still in Mrzli dol.

Hello! In two weeks I'm leading a group from Sv.Duh to Govca...how and with what size bus can one get towards Sv.Duh?

Minibus, max. 25 seats. Anything else is a lottery. Maybe I'm wrong? Anyone can easily disprove menasmeh

Road Solčava - Podolševa will probably be closed until end of year.
Detour via Logarska dolina.

Solčava - Podolševa, complete closure due to road modernization until 21.12.2018. Detour via road Podolševa - Sestre Logar - Solčava.

On the "inspection" Sunday 27.5. I made it to Sv. Duh or Rogar farm from Solčava despite the "closed" traffic signs. Once they sort it out with the owners, the road will actually be closed for renovation. Thanks for all replies and safe travels.

Yesterday I walked the path Podolševa - sv. Lenart - Potočka zijavka - Obel kamen - Podolševa.
The path is normally passable.

Hi!

Question from a hiking beginner still getting used to views from height and into height. How demanding is Obel Kamen? I went this weekend from Spodnje Sleme-Olševa, it was ok. At one point, I had to send my brother ahead who has more km behind him, cuz I chickened out. After that no issues (except I can only enjoy views sitting, standing makes me dizzy a bit).

Depends which path you choose. In my feeling the "lower" one is easier:

Yesterday I called colleague Janez if he's up for a tour. This morning in the car we agreed on Lipševa vrata and Obel kamen.
Then we hurried along the marked path to the border, then to neighbors and to Lipševa vrata, where we had the opportunity to see a rock climber.
A bit above the gates Janez headed along the ridge to Obel kamen, I followed the trail of faded marks to the top.
From the top we descended towards Potočka zijavka, where a fat mouse greeted us velik nasmeh
For dessert we climbed to Strevčeva peč, which offers great views.

The road is closed to traffic when machines are working, roughly between 7 and 16.
Outside that time you can drive nicely, unless you really have a low car cool
