Last time at the door of the Kranjska hut on Ledine I saw a flyer for transport between Logarska and Jezersko (from the hut via Jezersko and Savinja Saddle to Okrešelj marked 2:45). Has anyone tried it? Does it work OK and what's the price?

Already tried velik nasmeh Works, Mr Stanko is great. Last year he drove us from Jezersko over Pavlič Saddle back to Logarska. Don't remember price, will ask mates...

Checked 14 days ago, price per km, we had a van because there were five of us, don't know the price per km but it was reasonable, especially no problem because you can do a nice loop tour between Logarska and Jezersko. Really cool idea.nasmeh

Similarly, you have transports Krma-Kot-Vrata, probably more. Numbers 041/608297, 031/364980. Haven't been with them yet, can't comment from own experience. Good luck.

If anyone plans to hike this trail these days, be prepared for snow - lots of snow nasmeh

Practically the whole ascent from Okrešelj to the saddle is covered with a blanket that will probably stay there for a long time. You can still walk, but I recommend at least sturdy boots, better crampons. The snow looks fairly stable, how long it will stay that way I don't know.
Quite a steep snowy ascent.1
The path walked.2
Just below the summit - the towing service waits for a snack.3

Maybe someone knows how much snow at Savinja Saddle?

I'm interested in conditions from Rinka to Okrešelj and onwards (how much snow)?

Can't reach hut keeper or Celje society for first-hand info. Have two kids (8 and 11) who haven't hiked in winter conditions yet - but want to. Otherwise experienced on climbing paths and very long high-mountain tours. Maybe some sledding or shoveling if there's any snow.

I did this tour years ago in snow and it was nice - seems safe and interesting for kids.

If you advise against - tip for snow not just ice.

Thanks

The icy stretch of the path below the Savinja spring is about 100m long. Do not head from the Okrešelj hut to the Savinja Saddle without crampons.

On Saturday from Okrešelj to Savinja Saddle. The road through Logar Valley was frozen. The path from the waterfall to Okrešelj was nice, further up real winter. In some places the snow sank to the knees, in some places it crunched just right. The weather wasn't much, but I was still very happy for my first winter ascent.

How is the snow up to Okrešelj?
And how is the road drivable, can one get normally to the end, to the turning point?

Snow at Okrešelj is also between two and three meters, so there is some for hauling out

good luck
