Does the hut at Okrešelj use disposable bedding or is a sleeping bag needed?
This summer I carried a sleeping bag to huts in TNP because I didn't know about disposable bedding, so I'd like to lighten things up a bit if possible...

I'm wondering if a helmet is really necessary on the path to Okrešelj? We don't have helmets, but we want to go up...
And, would it be okay to go up tomorrow (Saturday) with a child (in a backpack)?

daver, no rock barrages on the path to Okrešelj are to be expected. Only one spot is maybe exposed to falling rocks, that's a few dozen meters of path before crossing Rinka waterfall. Crowds of visitors roll to Okrešelj in summer (very, very rare with helmets), and I haven't heard yet of a rock hitting someone there.

Awful, they already have some bad memories there (accident on exercise) now left without shelter too.. .and it was so cozy.

I'm really sorry that this happened. Even this summer I enjoyed sitting on the bench in front of the hut; it was so homely.

It could only have been a worn-out el. installation, lightning or leaving an open fire by a person in the hut. Self-ignition of solar collectors at contacts is also possible, which is not uncommon if there were any on the roof.
