As I already wrote in the trip comment, at this time of year the path to Molička pasture is like a walk in a botanical garden. I recommend!

Nice greetings!

I'm interested in what the conditions are like to Molička planina. Can you drive to Planina Ravne by car?

Yes, but it is closer to Molička from Planina Podvežak than from Planina Ravne.

Today, 29.5., from Podvežak to Molička planina, snow has lightly whitened the surrounding peaks again, even Strelovec had a bit of misty white in the morning, which evaporated by noon; snow in hollows of course, snow patches reportedly further towards Korošica; at the chapel and Kocbek shelter today a real paradise for pampering, views after yesterday's rain uniquevelik nasmeh; conditions in pics; lp

Today we visited Molička planina and Korošica, it was wonderful. There were so many flowers that we stopped often to admire them. Yesterday cows also arrived at Podvežak planina, so the atmosphere is perfect. Moderate hiking from Podvežak was five hours up and down. The weather held, above 2000 m fog was rolling. Pity the Kocbek shelter was closed. At Korošica the friendly hostess served us.

Yes, Mojca, I agree that despite the cloudy day it was a nicely spent day. To all those picking herbs for tea I warmly recommend this path... we took advantage and picked some different kinds of herbs.nasmehnasmeh

I also pick some little flowers for teas, but when picking it has to be a sunny day, in short the flowers must be sunlit.zavijanje z očminasmeh

Oh yes they were sunlit, if a few clouds come it's no problem... What if the cows come first and eat all the thyme and plahtice...

Nice greetings.
I'm new to this forum and have one question.
How long does it take to walk from Molička pasture to Korošica and is this path suitable for children aged 7 and 9?
Best regards and safe steps to all

Gobica, from Molička pasture to Korošica you'll walk with kids less than an hour. The path is of course suitable for the age you mentioned. Happy trails to all, lots of enjoyments which abound here and safe steps. Best regards

I wanted to use today's nice day for a trip to the chapel on Molička pasture, but due to the abundance of wind-blown snow on the path from Podvežak pasture to Molička pasture I turned back. No track has been made yet, only one touring skier made a ski track before me, but it didn't help much (sorry for destroying it). Soon the path under the snow is no longer visible and you reach scree where it's very hard to make a track mrk pogled

Still it was a nicely spent day in the mountains!

BTW... road currently drivable at least to Planinška, some went to the next junction.
Here I was basking today :)1
A little further from here I turned back2

Just like trilko says in the previous post, today we also didn't manage to reach Molička pasture.
Road to Ravne pasture is drivable, further we went on foot. The path is not trodden, southern slopes are bare, on northern ones there's lots of snow in which you sink to the knees, sometimes even to the butt.
We'll try our luck again in summer. nasmeh

Yesterday, on holiday, from Ravne pasture, over Veliki vrh (Veža), to the chapel on Molička pasture. Path without special features. Fog covered some peaks, so views weren't the best. On the pasture there was mass, many hikers. Nice tour, recommend. Nice mountaineering greetings.

Today for the first time from Robanov kot to Molička. Interesting path. nasmeh I've never seen so many pegs, wire ropes and carved steps. Wonderful day - sunny and quite warm. On the path I met only the technical team that was repairing the protections. They said they would finish the same day and go tomorrow to repair on Krofička.
View of the gray walls above Robanova valley is stunning. nasmeh Yellow arnica blooms wherever you look and the scent is in the air too.
The path is very steep and doesn't ease up until the summit scrub. Views of Ojstrica, Olševa, Raduha and Krofička are clear and very beautiful. And plenty of others.
The first secured section is very short and fully renovated. The second secured section is long and interesting. Caution is needed. The last one is short again and in good condition.
The higher we got, the more flowers there were.
After the end of the protections we reached the scrub belt where the trail drops a bit down, but we had to push through it. It goes, but you need to push branches aside. Then just a few minutes to the chapel of St. Cyril and Methodius.
On the return we stepped a few steps off the path to the waterfall and the "pond" below it. The refreshment was very pleasant.
It was a nice day! Sometimes vacation, weather and route choice really match up.
Good luck and stay safe, everyone! nasmeh

A bit late reply, but last time it didn't go and now I think not either, because instead of the snow melting it's still falling.

I don't know if it's still relevant, but towards Ravne only the lower half is dry, somewhat further from the sharp left bend.
