Hello

a bit late, I did the route from Tuhinj-Golica to Vivodnik on Wednesday. Path is ok, snow really starts at 1300m and when unconsolidated it sinks even to the knees in places. Otherwise it was nice. Yes, bear tracks cross the path at ca 1200m towards Biba pasture. But shhh they told me not to make too much noise about it velik nasmeh

or everyone judge for themselves if afraid of bear or not. Good luck nasmeh

Today family [hike] from Limovska planina. Currently the whole path is surrounded by snowdrops and crocuses.
Road to Pl. Biba is normally drivable.

Hi, I was up there today, almost no snow, same for crocuses, where there were, they froze.

Wonderful ridge traverse between Črnivec and Menina Pasture via pl.Ravne and pl.Travnik. Back same way.

We started on a real winter morning (-8C) from the parking lot in front of the Benedictine monastery in Gornji Grad.
We chose the path via Borovnica and return past the St. Florian chapel. At the start not much snow = up to 10cm. Marked path not much trodden. When the path past Šemprimožnik (or Semprimožnik - written form S as Š ??) joins, nice firm track forms leading us to the goal. Snow cover rises fast and probably around one meter there. Well compacted, no special walking issues. In three hours at the hut, hearty snack and hot tea from backpack (hut open only weekends). Nice views watching snow plumes on KSA peaks from west wind. On Menina surprisingly no wind. Northeast clear, west darkening fast. Quick descent back at start in 1:40min.
ps. winter/snow and Knafelc marks well complemented by yellow, orange, slightly greenish ones along track velik nasmeh

Menina which on Saturday 20.1.2018 offered wonderful views and snow pleasures. Always fascinates me with its landscape, starting above Gornji Grad with blooming heather, towards Vivodnik with deep snow that didn't sink as fresh powder on hard base. This time no wind for change, nice chat at hut with duty caretakers.
Great day, solitude, silence, met only one hiker from this direction who started below Usran klancem. nasmeh

Today's Menina a bit less snowy but just as beautiful. Snow still nicely hard for walking. Weather great and completely windless nasmeh

This morning at -14°C we pondered which option to choose?
Then agreed on Menina figuring no need to break trail. When parking in G.G. at monastery, choose path via Borovnica. Right at start realize after last snowfall no visitors this variant. Or, part trail done, but at real steep predecessor gave up. No choice but break trail to junction from Semprimožnik. So a bit longer than usual. From where paths meet, well trodden ahead. After four hours at hut (closed weekdays), enjoy meal from backpack. After yesterday's fast today more substantial... cool

Return via Semprimožnik to start takes two hours. Weather sunny, cloudy, cold and no breeze. Out of forest snow depth much more than a meter. But path now quite firm, no issues.
