Of course one gets there, first to (pass) Slapi then towards Lipa.

Today from Gornji Grad to Menina pasture via "steep path" past plague sign and St.Florian, where "gentle" path joins and on past Semprimožnik farm all to the top . Except couple hikers just before summit, no crowd on path, haha actually nobody Weather ok for walking, minus cold wind...Hut open, service friendly-of course. Back via Borovnice. Whole path mostly through forest, so no views except top, but I liked the trip anyway.

From GG to Menina, it's better to go up via Borovnica than down. That path is steeper than via Semprimožnik so it "pounds" downhill. But it's about 20 min shorter.

Yesterday we went from Gornji Grad via Semprimož to Menina pasture. Path very well trodden and doesn't sink. Low cloud base from 900m to 1100m higher clear with cirrus in bands. Looking for suitable terrain for paraglider takeoff and went to left bank where transmitter stands. Almost no wind, terrain very flat and quite tricky for start. All went well and landed in Gornji Grad.

Menina pasture second time this month, but this time from Gornji Grad, track made, snow melting, this time no wind, but around noon clouds, tomorrow ski race so met many climbing to top. So tomorrow all to the race.

From Golice village where sun greeted us already morning, we headed to Menina pasture. Couldn't believe there's still such thick snow blanket up there (some places even over 1/2 m). Sinking up to "backside", but effort rewarded with great weather.

I'd like to take my mom and mother-in-law (can't walk, but really want to go up there) to Menina pasture. Wondering if possible or where to go.

I usually Mozirje - Zadreška valley - Bočna (then signs for Menina) or via Črnivc (if from Gorenjska) Gornji Grad and there again signs for Menina. Road then gravel about 12km and you reach hut at Menina.

Another sunny, cloudy and very windy day behind me. Today I shortened the path a bit and started the ascent to Menina Pasture right from Rovt pod Menino. Right away strong wind was my companion, which left me a bit in the forest, then kept me company all the way to the top. At moments it blew so hard it stopped me while walking. The path is normally passable and the snow on the path is no obstacle and it melts fast. From the top I barely caught a bit of KSA, then it all closed again. The hut is open (all weekends), the keeper friendly, food good. Otherwise this path is perfect for those who don't like crowds, I've never met anyone

Today in cloudy weather I climbed to Vivodnik, highest peak of Menina Pasture. I started the trail at Golice bus stop, from there to same-named village and from there on well-marked path to summit. From Golice village to summit path was wet and partly quite muddy.

On Menina Pasture we experienced the only unpleasant encounter with livestock grazing freely. One of the bulls probably took us for some kind of intruders. In the last moment we sought refuge in the mountain hut.

This morning on Menina Pasture sunny, over Ovčje stane windy, nice track from Gornji Grad past Sv. Primož.
