Today to Ledinski vrh. Up to Ledine via secured Slovenska, down from Ledine always via Lovska. To Ledine currently from Jezersko direction only via these two paths. Secured Žrelo is closed due to damaged protections and no sign PD Kranj, which has Žrelo, will fix it. Don't know what damages. From top of Žrelo these damages not visible. Apparently someone improvised with some ropes. Anyway, this relocation of secured path to left side didn't work well (viewed from below up), as winter damages it again. Read discussions that cables should be moved higher into rocks on left and pegs into wall for safe climbing on rock. I'm no expert - just reading. On other hand hear they would permanently close path through Žrelo, like they permanently closed and abandoned secured path to Kalska gora from Cojzova hut at Kokrško saddle. Few know today that path existed.

Anyway secured path to Ledine -Slovenska is in excellent condition. In upper part only one pulled out peg. Even installed some wooden things on path. Similarly well maintained descent via Lovska - PD Kranj takes good care of these two paths.

From Ledine then to Ledinski vrh. Still quite some snow in glacier under Skuta. There a herd of chamois was cooling.

To the Ledine via the secured Slovenian route.

To Češka koča we can also go via ferrata - very demanding.

Storžek is already on the Austrian side - a secured path leads up there.

Summit with box. Stamp and logbook are here. There isn’t much space on the summit.

Summit supervisor - confirmed - with ring.

Down not directly to the parking lot, but along the walking path in the Ravenska Kočna valley.

Why is this abandoned? A few years ago they served friendly here.

Today on this nice viewpoint above Ledine. nasmeh

Parked at the turning point below Rinka and wondering how the drive home will go, because the road is properly icy. Well, slowly it went then. mežikanje

Path to Okrešelj is icy, from the Hut onwards more pleasant. Trodden in all directions, but true, the track to Savinjsko sedlo is made straight, quite off the summer path and therefore quite steep. zavijanje z očmi

Caution needed over Prag, under the collapsed bivouac and especially for crossing from Savinjsko to Jezersko sedlo. So, without winter gear, no go. mežikanje

At this altitude no inversion, in fact properly freezing cold.

2.5.2019 We finished May Day holidays with excellent mountain tour to Ledinski vrh. Snow starts a bit higher above the monument, more of it towards Savinjsko sedlo. Using snowshoes and crampons came in very handy. Weather and views unforgettable! velik nasmeh

Today-Ravenska Kočna - Ledinski Peak (Slovenian path).Some impressions from the mentioned path. Before entering Slovenian path we cross a snowslide. The Slovenian path itself is dry. There is some snow in the upper part of the gully, but enough space by the wall so it doesn't hinder the hike. (From exit of Žrelo we cross two short snowslides. From Kranjska hut on Ledine towards Jezersko sedlo there is still snow. Further along the ridge to Ledinski Peak the path is almost dry. Snow hard in the morning (ice axe and crampons) then softens and punches through. Views wonderful, was alone on top today. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Yesterday on Ledinski Peak. Just below Savinjsko sedlo a small snow patch, can cross it normally. Otherwise ascent mostly in fog.

Yesterday up the Slovenian route to Ledine, frozen snow starts already in Slovenian, from Ledine onwards to Ledinski vrh, snow breaks through heavily in places, last 50m before summit pure concrete so high slip risk...back down along ridge to Belski turn, ascent in these conditions to this peak quite very difficult...returned via Savinjsko sedlo to Belsko Kocna then via Jenkova planina back to start....currently nobody has walked these areas yet...track can't be missed nasmeh

recommend to anyone who wants peace and quiet in winter mountains nasmeh

Yesterday Blaž and I went to Ledinski vrh from Okrešelj direction. Weather and conditions super, fog only on summit and a bit below. Tuski žleb quite visited and gullies under Rinka also got some piking. From Okrešelj descended shepherd's path which large part icy and dangerous. Classic path to Okrešelj icy in places too, so careful if heading to this end.

Fantastic, the fog has cut off the peaks

Today my buddy and I tried to reach the summit but an unpleasant incident on the path between Savinjsko and Jezersko sedlo changed our plan. Namely, on this section avalanche swept three hikers one hour ahead of us but luckily they got away uninjured. After talking to them later I saw they were visibly shaken... how not to be. zadrega

As for conditions, road to turnaround icy so I parked in Logarska kot. Some drove to the end. zavijanje z očmi

Path to Okrešelj icy requires full caution. Crampons and ice axe essential for crossing Prag and descent from Savinjsko sedlo. Weather though....too warm. nasmeh

Today via Žrelo to Ledine, conditions further to Ledinski vrh top.. otherwise identical except weather as last Sunday... descended via Savinjsko sedlo to Austrian side to Belsko kočno and via Jenkova planina back to Jezersko... but really between the two saddles a small avalanche released....

Didn't know exactly where at noon, decided during drive to go to Ledinski vrh. Up Slovenian route where just at gully exit still some small snow. Ice axe came in handy. Past Ledinska koča and further snow fields, some path parts bare. Didn't stay long on Ledinski vrh as dark clouds chasing from Logarska... so rather descended toward glacier and across it back to Ledine. Descended hunter's path, initially still snow but lower no more. Someone also hiked to koča in afternoon.
