Yesterday I completed a wonderful tour on an unusually warm October day amid varied and colorful views: Hotel Plesnik-Slap Palenk-Icmanikov stan-Movznik-Ute-Travnik-Krofička-Klemenča jama-Hotel Plesnik (through the tunnel). I was at Icmanikov stan for the first time. From the waterfall the path is very steep, but the colorful autumn forest made up for everything. The first magnificent view opened under Rkljeva peč. Unfortunately at Icmanikov stan everything was torn up, a new road is being built - construction machines and felled trees left a bad impression and markings have disappeared too, but luckily my companion who had been here remembered where the path continuation might be. The path to Movznik seemed much more trodden to me this time than the last time I wandered around there (which is really several years ago ). To the shepherd's hut under Ute it went quite quickly and smoothly (ropes are even installed on the harder section, so you can self-belay). At the hut a well-deserved snack then onward over scree almost to the ridge and under the wall left to the meadow. Then debate with companion, which gully is the right one. Right or left? Right, that first one! On Ute the sky cleared too and wonderful views opened. Along the ridge it went nicely flowing, although at first it seems among these dwarf pines there really is no passage. But there is . Soon Travnik summit was conquered, then a bit more dwarf pines, then retreat to Robanova side and grassy slope, via gully back to ridge, some more scrambling over rocky outcrops and suddenly Krofička summit was right in front of my nose. Yay! Followed by initially quite slippery then beautiful forest descent on marked path to Klemenča jama. From there after excellent Segedin goulash just a pleasant walk to start. Still in short sleeves (would have worn shorts too but didn't have them - who would've expected they'd come in handy), even though it was already around 5 pm .

Zlatko obviously third time's the charm and we'll have to hire a local guide I've already a bit forgotten that the steepness is really concrete, good I have short memory and it's quickly forgotten. Next year repeat, counting on your company Without a smile it doesn't go, it's already basic gear, especially in hills

We'll arrange it and hike something "new" too. I looked at the GPS track without glasses and was quite surprised, as it looked to me like you traversed the entire ridge The smile is anyway your "trademark" Tell me also how many km you racked up on your route? best

We covered exactly 21.5 km and 1750 elevation gain Solid tour for the poor weather forecast. We were quite lucky with the weather; it rained nicely around us, but we got to the car dry. I hold you to your word

You naughty green painter without a shred of aesthetics . @Geppo ... luckily we didn't encounter anything like what you showed in the pic anymore. Obviously all those frescoes have been removed. I fully agree with you that this has no place anywhere, not just here. We only saw tiny, unobtrusive dots on rocks and since we're not locals it was confirmation of the right direction for us. So I don't know which direction is towards Škrbina either. Besides pics I attached a topo map, if you can make anything out of it. Best regards and see you

On Veliki vrh (2110m) on the Dleskovska plateau there was a sample (probably gone already). Rinke and Skuta looked a bit whiter, probably much less than equally high peaks in the Julian Alps.

How's it on Krofička? Is there snow? And where's the snow line?

Yesterday I finally set off on the path that I had "promised" myself some time ago, and these days it is also 35 years since I was first on Krofička . The morning promised a nicer day, but with cloudy weather we hikers are at least relieved of possible heat. I was quickly at Klemenča, at Planjave I had an interesting encounter with sheep, where I tried the role of traffic controller in "sheep traffic". A bit below Movnik I turn onto the well-visible path towards Ute - and the adventure began. From the ridge the path leads through a picturesque notch into Vratni žleb, where after descent it soon climbs again, crosses the steep slopes under Ute and leads to the shepherd hut Na Utah. Although I expected it, it surprised and delighted me, a nice spot here. After an almost pathless ascent to Ut I return under the ridge, following Fick's instructions towards Robanov kot I cross the ribbed gully and find myself on Travnik. After a short traverse I spot above me an unscrubbed wall sticking out in the greenery. In memory from all predecessors' reports in these parts the "right gully" of this wall stuck with me, up which I climb. It was the right one, on the ridge a stone arrow awaited as confirmation . A merciless battle with scrub followed, aided by traces of previous heroes of the green expanses . Soon I notice the goal for that day and realize that some more walking is needed. The ridge rises and falls, when turning back I realize that meanwhile I crossed the summit of Travnik without noticing. After the "greenery" some more interesting, locally exposed rocky ridge scrambling to the summit of Krofička followed. On this quite visited summit that day I wasn't long, the descent on the marked path passed without incidents. Excellent mushroom soup at Klemenča jama and…

No worries, the two dogs are used to all kinds of trouble One even joined me once and kept me company. Trained on rock! After use, return them to the owner. Photo 3 He told me they hide when he looks for them and calls them in Logarska lp

That's how it was in 2010. https://www.hribi.net/slika_razmere/strelovec_-_kroficka_-_klemence_jama_-_strelovec/37734 This I wrote in 2018. Although we visited only Krofička on Thursday, I opened this thread. Years ago when I posted the message, I was excited about the condition of the path and Klemenče cave. I've been in this area many times, last year after a long time again on Kopinškova. Today, 8 years later. Wooden steps broken, path not maintained, cables under the summit completely loose as anchors are pulled out, in short no one has done anything on this path for a long time. Also surroundings of the hut at Klemenče completely unkempt, years ago there was a beautiful sign Klemenča cave, now it's gone, I think by next year the wish bell will also lie on the ground. Also the path itself from Dom planincev to Klemenče not maintained. Logarska Valley and Slovenes playing tourism no longer offer what excited me years ago. Dom planincev is falling apart, foreigners want to go to the gas station, but the nearest one in Solčava closed midweek. I admit it's hard for me to write this criticism, but I've realized many things are going downhill here. As long as the huts cash in, what they offer hikers, they don't care much about that money. I'm sure others think the same but stay quiet. Most just post pics and beauties of the path, what’s wrong is swept under the rug. Not right. Well, no comments on current conditions. I think I described them well. Safe steps, Jelica. So now it's even much worse, practically nothing LP!

Steep drop on left and right of the ridge, what do you need the track for.
