Hey! Today I went to Grintovec, and could drive normally with car to lower station of cargo cable car, so think also to Jermanca no problem, as on road almost no snow. Safe step I wish you, mežikanje

We were today at Kamnik Saddle. To Jermanca the road is quite dry and no problem to get there with car. Real snow starts only somewhere at Pastirci. It was very warm. Morning snow still quite frozen, but we were very early. On descent snow already quite thawed. We had crampons and ice axe which eased ascent, but could go up without trouble even without, as path trodden.

The road to Jermanca was quite icy and dangerous in the morning. With my car I had to give up soon and return to KB...

Hi, how is the road to Jermanca, is it dug up, icy, normally drivable?

We took pravegalisjak's warning seriously and went from KB. But I met hikers who were joining from the Jermanca direction.

You can get to Jermanca by car without issues. I recommend that anyone deciding to drive up leaves the car somewhere in the clearing by the observation post. There's already plenty of stones on the road up to there, even rocks rolling onto the road with the current thaw. Also when starting to walk from Jermanca onwards, caution won't hurt. Ears alert, because stones occasionally roll down from above through the forest.

Again a nice sunny and warm day... the path from Kamniška Bistrica is bp, just in the forest under leaves there's ice in places, so careful, I felt it myself today velik nasmeh

, higher up snow patches, no problem, and sinking just right under this sun. Under Brana walls it's crawling, rustling, you hear and see... visitors, quite a few, catching sun rays and enjoying the fairy-tale day nasmeh

here in the valley it was thundering today

Rozka, do you happen to know how passable the road to Jermanca is? As I understand, you started from the hut in Kamniška Bistrica. Thanks for the answer.

The road is dry and during the week you can drive to the last parking lot (approx. four vehicles) at 990 m a.s.l. A bit more attention regarding larger rocks on the road won't hurt.

Today I was at Kamnik Saddle from Kamniška Bistrica; hikers at the hut on the saddle can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The path is dry everywhere except higher up, and even there there's little snow.

On the way back, just five minutes above the road from Kamniška Bistrica, I removed an empty motor oil can that had been lying there for the whole winter (at least it looked so). I'm surprised no one removed it before. Shame on who left it there, but any passing hiker (of hundreds who have passed by) could have picked it up; it was well visible from the path, doesn't bite.
