Road to Jermanca nice, path to Pastirci dry, to Kamrica bare. Snow, very little completely rotten, even at top of saddle. Air out winter room, change in front of entrance since no wind, go to edge to photo surroundings. No living soul anywhere, on descent pick up some closed phone booths too. I was about half hour too early (yesterday), since sky cleared completely just before my descent.

The sky over Planjava quite gloomy, but windless.

Towards the south beautiful blue skies. Mokrica, Kompotela, Vrh Korena

When I look up today, the color is completely different.

Since I wasn't sure about conditions for Grintovec (corrected for nitpickers zavijanje z očmi

), conditioning tour to Kamnik saddle was decent substitute. Mainly snow just for sample. Really takes it fast. Maybe 50 meters where still need to cross snow, rest bare. And length not height meters. velik nasmeh

and even that could bypass on left. Given today's temps question how much left. Anyway path without peculiarities. And yes, was in sneakers... velik nasmeh

Today I took time and went up from the bottom. I saw the no-driving sign only from afar, no cars at the parking lot. Ground dry, clear all the way to Pastirci. Snow frozen, put on chains and easily made it to the hut. So warm there, just aired the winter room, changed outside on the bench. Right behind the hut conditions completely different and demanding, at almost every step to the saddle had to kick the ground with foot to break thin glaze. View divine, no one around. After good hour locked the winter room and said goodbye to the saddle.

ATTENTION! Found sunglasses along the path. Owner, get in touch!

Obviously there is not much more snow on Brana than at the hut.

Yesterday just before nine at the start below still minus five. Path nicely frozen, frost eased off higher up quickly. At Pastirci I pull on chains, which came in handy just before the hut as there's some ice there too. Hut closed for holidays, fling open the winter room doors wide so sun peeks in and it airs. Change inside too, and anchor in front of the entrance which was nice as more shelter there than on benches, though wind was calm. After tasty sandwich and tea from thermos go behind the edge to photograph if anything new since last time wink

Well, Mrzla gora can't change much, nor has the picture of new Frischauf changed, where expensive machines have been anchored for three years costing every day of non-operation.......
On descent warm as A.D.K. says, due to southern snow descend in skating step, in KB higher temp than in Ljubljana.

On nice winter weekends we will have the hut open.

Mrzli vrh and Gora, and the little peak of Krnička gora.

Matkova kopa, which is back on the list this year.

I saw online instructions for nature preservation, which also apply to our nature in little Slovenia.

Sustainably!
- Never leave any remains in the environment, including cigarette butts. Food scraps contribute to rodent spread.
- Don't throw objects or waste of any kind into water.
- Respect animals, don't disturb or feed them. - If you see damaged specimens, report to emergency number 112. Also don't pull flowers or plants from environment.
- Don't pick or take stones or any other natural element. Don't alter it by stacking them into sad famous "towers".
- Don't use soap under showers.
- Preferably use sunscreens that respect marine or lake environment.
- Try not to disturb environment peace with excessive noise (loud music, shouting ...) or annoying activities like ball games.
- Pets forbidden in many natural pools. Make sure you can bring it.

One more thing about soaps.
I make soaps. Before I'd advise against store soaps from big corporations where you really don't know what's actually in them (they have money for fake labels).
Home-made soap or bought natural soap is made from NATURAL oils and butters which are actually by-products of the environment, and thus harmless.
Need to read something before threshing empty straw.

So let's move from creams, soaps back to the saddle.
Yesterday was perfect for pleasant uphill walk and due to great conditions start right from bottom. Ascent set as light training to maintain fitness. Terrain dry, no sun, fog below saddle also untroubling, at hut after one hour thirty-two minutes. No visitors, chat a bit with warden over tea, hut open till Oct 4. Don't go to edge at all, thick fog. On descent opens a bit but only briefly. Bivouac at Pastirci relentlessly decaying, stream nicely babbling, curiosity from loud Sedelšček waterfall takes me there too. At cableway to Vel'ko dead, not operating, new bridge in Stranje still 'adorned' by traffic light.

Janja just won in Seoul.
