On Tuesday my son and I went to Kokrsko sedlo to sleep, yesterday then over Dolce to Jezersko Kočna and then to Grintovec. We arrived in the valley by headlamp lightjezik
The entire path is well marked and normally passable, just need to watch your step on the scree underfoot.

Is there drinking water along the Suhadolnik - Grintovec path (maybe at the hut)? Thanks.

Nowhere. Take enough water with you and that's it, pure and simple.

You can buy it at Kokrsko sedlo, it's just a question of how long the hut will still be open.
Check beforehand.

Kokrska and Jezerska Kočna and Grintovec - circular from Planina Suhadolnik (conditions Sun. 18.6.2017)

Already 8 years have passed since my last crossing of the tops of this KSA tris, … so there was a bigger dilemma at the start in which direction to do them. And since the path over Taško and Grdi graben and to Dolce is still more demanding, this time we decide to start here, even though the approach from the bivouac over the scree upwards to the subpeak of Kokrska Kočna is quite unpleasant and in summer can also be very very hot.
First, it's necessary to praise the renovated and this year really very good signs and markers on the path, not many hikers go over Taško and Grdi graben, so grasses and bushes have overgrown the path in many places, in wet or slippery conditions avoid these paths, as due to exposure it can be dangerous for slipping in many places. The approach along the fixed cables on Kočna helps us, at all open and airy spots they are still in place and serve their purpose. Perhaps it would be necessary, solely for safety, to install some aid also in the preduh or under the belly, on the marked path Jezerska Kočna - Dolška Škrbina, but that's another topic and I don't want the "forumites" to expound here in the continuation and compete in guessing or philosophizing what would be or not, if it were or not.... The forum is after all intended for "conditions description".
Continuation of the path from Škrbina towards Grintovec and ascent to it from its north side is easier than the previous crossing of the Kočnas, currently there are two spots with about 5-6m of snow to cross, but even that has days counted. On the north side of Grintovec, above the junction to Mlinarsko sedlo and the summit, I noticed a new, more logical marked path, which is easier and more scenic than the previous traverse, where there was always a lot of scree and sand. Here too the direction signs and markers are freshly painted.
The described path from Suhadolnik is in general quite long and strenuous (all together about 11-12 hours), so the descent past Kokrsko sedlo and Cojzova hut is quite welcome to prevent dehydration and boost energy, and even from here to the parking under Suhadolnik another two hours of walking await you - for downhill at the end choose left and the easier old path, so the circular loops and figure-eights will be nicer too.

yes, velik nasmeh, this Sunday it was still relatively fresh due to wind, otherwise sun and heat in these or forecast upcoming days can be the biggest problem. Good luck.

Ravenska Kočna - Jezerska and Kokrska Kočna, Grintavec and over Mlinarsko sedlo back to Ravenska Kočna --- Quite long tour, without counting stops walking was around 10-11 hours. Worth going to Kokrska Kočna, as exceptional view opened to Jezerska Kočna, Skuta, Grintavec, Kalška Gora and also Krvavec (1st pic).
View from Kokrska Kočna. On the left Jezerska Kočna, then Skuta, Grintovec, Kalški Greben and finally Krvavec.1

29.7.2017 Kamniška Bistrica -> Kokrsko sedlo -> both Kočnas -> Grintovec -> Dolgi hrbet -> Skuta -> past bivouac to Kokrsko sedlo -> Kamniška Bistrica

Very nice circular path with some "climbing fun". In the morning it looked like weather on top would be "so-so" but mists cleared and peaks bathed in sun.
Path is normally passable without issues just markers over Dolgi hrbet are already heavily "faded".velik nasmeh

The scree to Kokrska Kočna is really unpleasant... almost better variant to connect Grintovec and Kočnas is first to Grintovec then to Kočnas.velik nasmeh

Is it somewhat feasible for a solidly prepared hiker (not even close to mountain runners' capabilities) as a one-day circular route Ravenska Kočna - Kokrska Kočna - Jezerska Kočna - Grintovec - Dolgi hrbet - Skuta - Ravenska Kočna?

Otherwise I'll probably go to Grintovec and return, but still asking if anyone has already walked the described loop.

It's long, you need to be more than just solidly prepared. Where do you plan to descend from Skuta? Back to Mlinarsko sedlo or onwards over Križ? If you meant the second, it's even a bit longer...

Given that I would rather not walk the same paths multiple times, that would mean continuing over Križ and then towards the start.

Have you done this loop? Do you have data on the approximate total elevation gain?

redbull6. 07. 2018 05:19:43
You gotta tell us what pace you have so we can calculate the time? Will you run at all? Or walk the whole time? Visiting the Kočne can be interesting, first Jezerska Kočna and when you get to Kokrska Kočna you'll return the same way, back to Jezerska Kočna?

I don't know if this helps you.

Last year from Suhadolnik over the gully to Kočna, then to the Hrbet/Skuta split and back via Pode and Kokrsko sedlo. I think it was about 12 hours car to car.

If descending via Rinke, count on extra fluids, because from Češka to Ledine there's probably no more usable snow for refilling.
