From the Suhadolnik direction to Kokrsko sedlo and then to the Grintovec summit. Crampons and ice axe are mandatory gear, you can't go without them. Check the pics for conditions

Those reading Marecar's report, don't take it seriously to go to the Grintovec summit with mini crampons, as there's a big chance they'll bring you back in a bag. Most fatalities on Grintovec from sliding off the roof as a consequence of not using proper gear. Ljubitelj gora is right: big real 12-point crampons and ice axe, that's the proper winter gear for Grintovec. I think the comment on knowledge of using gear is irrelevant. Otherwise, Šmarna gora can be just as nice, safer, and not stressful.

This week marks one year since the death on Grintovec, [with] crampon gear. People, don't mess around. And you're not tough if you reach the top with minimal gear.

Milepetro, I read 5 times what Marecar wrote and 5 times convinced that nothing is wrong!!!! Marecar didn't advise at all that small crampons are suitable for this mountain, the guy didn't know there would be so much snow, he tried small ones, then realized proper ones would be much more useful.... My opinion is that some here on this forum are "very" smart...

Miljko can write what he wants; no help . Some here to whom the old saying applies: Better just to create the appearance of a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubts.

If someone was on Grintovec, but didn't post it online, let alone added a selfie, were they really up there?

Some were up there, earplugged. About conditions we shouldn't talk or something. It'll be fine anyway . I'm wondering what'll happen when the gov gives green light for schools, restaurants and basically OK for mountain visits. I'm afraid of huge rush and consequences accordingly. I hope I'm wrong, else GRS will have tons of work. Partly due to this discouraged visiting. This flu form was surely around in Jan, Feb, but then all was fine till they started pounding on TV.

So pandemic declared because of TV pounding? Why not just ban the pounding, problem solved...

That's true, Grega, but mountains are a much smaller factor than the coast and other laid-back spots that cityfolk obviously visit en masse. Fuck, it'll be tough.

Djimuzl, the answer is obvious if you have enough common sense to see it. Very simple: the whole thing is a big scam so that fat pigs get fatter, sheep more manageable.

Yeah, just read they're posting old pics of car jams at the coast on FB. It's in someone's interest.
