Who minds the flag on top of Donačka? Let the photos speak, whoever did or made this is not and won't be a mountaineer. It's clearly visible that the wind didn't do it, screws were removed. Found the pole on the north side below the summit, upper part with flag nowhere.

Condemnable act and primitivism, that one is not and won't be a mountaineer, not even a Slovene

I can't say that it's been like that for sure one week, namely I saw it but didn't even dream that it could be vandalism! Namely the flag was already a bit torn and I thought in that direction that someone could have taken it down.. but it's true that in this time one could easily have put a new one up.. Today there were quite a few people up there, even a whole bus of small kids! Gotta start with the little ones, yeah!

Today after a long time back on top (last 17.6), sadly knee injury spoiled all plans for this year, so way behind this year's goal.. Wind on top blowing so hard that only book entry possible. On path met two people and as reward below dog Charlie. @ stankoju On Saturday read article about hiked Slovenian Mountain Trail or Transversal, i.e., shortly, from Maribor to Ankaran. Really only hat's off, nothing else to say!

Hello Styrians. I'm wondering how long an averagely fast hiker would need for the route: Poljčane train station-Boč-Donačka Hill-Rogatec train station? LP

The route is around 35 km in optimal length, elevation gain around two thousand meters. Perhaps the most annoying is the descent to Rogatec. From the mountain hut it's a bit over 6 km of asphalt, where one can actually follow the verges and meadows along the path. But on this descent there are also very nice views and friendly locals along the way Train departures from Rogatec (source SŽ) - weekdays two at 16:42 and 17:48, Saturday no connections, Sunday one at 17:48. I got information from two older hikers that in the former joint state there existed a hiking trail from Donačka Hill to Ravna Hill in Croatian Zagorje. The trail was also marked. Does anyone know anything more specific about this connection?

It existed and is still relevant...SOURCE: and it connects as stated at point no.7 with the path through Croatian Zagorje...SOURCE:. I assume the older hikers were thinking about this connection.

25.11.2014 to Rudi by car, then to the summit of Donačka, back to Rudi and traverse to the hut - Boč, summit and descent to Poljčane. All day moderately foggy, no visitors to hills-mountains, temperature suitable for the season, in short interesting hike, up-down then up and down. Some photos at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/
