11.8 2013 my wife and I did the following tour. Start parking Ravenska Kočna, Češka koča, Mlinarsko sedlo, Dolgi hrbet, Skuta, Koroška rinka, Ledine back to parking. Very nice tour, quite a few hikers, trail without problems. Lp

Three weeks ago I did the trail in the opposite direction: three hikers on Skuta, elsewhere alone. Mlinarsko sedlo quite loaded with scree. Long but nice tour.

Morning on Dolgi hrbet via Frishauf path. Weather cloudy all the time, foggy at the top, nevertheless very nice tour. Regarding conditions, need to say that we have to climb snow to the harder part or first fixed protections, but without issues, soon after a 20m long and steep snowfield awaits, steps are made but I still used ice axe. Trail ahead without problems. According to logbook, the summit has quite modest visits this year. Finally praise to the staff at Češka koča.

Today visiting this peak offered excellent views of the giants of KSA, which were massively visited. Ascent from Jezersko side, past Češka koča to Mlinarsko sedlo and along the ridge to the top. The trail and fixed protections are in good condition.

weekend package in KSA. Skuta over Dolgi hrbet from Jezersko. At the same time steep ascent via ferrata to Češka koča where I slept.

After last snowfall no one over Žmavčarje yet. Most wading at 1300m up to knees. Higher snow thinned out. To Skuta really nice conditions for ice climbing, as upper part windblown. Dolgi Hrbet has mixed conditions from hard to collapsing snow and no lack of rocky parts. Over Mlinarsko sedlo further to Grintovec, eastern route-exit direct before the mushroom. Midway on roof took off crampons as snow gone. Very little snow in this part. Below Kokrsko sedlo quite a lot of snow up to cableway.

on Sunday on Dolgi hrbet. Start from Jezersko. As we were first we flew over Teranova without belay and were on top in a good hour. Followed short access to north face and entry to Trojka route. Trojka has two entry variants, right one known as Lastovka route. After first pitch vertical that looked worse than it was. Followed rocky traverse ending with thin ice on smooth slab. Here thanks to Austrian team that fixed rope for all. Ice was actually only 1-2 cm thick. After this traverse extremely steep gully turning right towards top, exit exactly on Dolgi hrbet summit. Descent from top over Kokrško sedlo to Suhadolnik.

Conditions though...You can tell it's too warm. Teranova would be ideally frozen with one step less, but a bit wet. Too warm weather took key details in Trojka.

Descent due to wet snow also messy. Crampons were a staple. Traverse around ridge to Kokrsko also messy, not only crampons forming but south snow gave way at times.

Today I traversed Long Ridge: from Ravenska Kočna past Czech Hut along Frischauf Path to Mlinarsko Saddle, then traverse to notch before Štruca, descent pathless to path to Mlinarsko Saddle and back to valley. Weather in the morning cloudy and foggy, even a few rain drops, so planned Skuta was cancelled. Whole trail OK, of course over the ridge the path is quite demanding. No snow on Long Ridge, before Frischauf entry still snow patch and a bit further need to cross 2m snow patch - without winter gear. In the lower part of the path to Czech Hut like an atomic bomb fell: crawling under and over fallen trees and stumps, and wide forest road adds its own.

This rock face provides pleasant warmth.

Soon after a short 2-meter snow patch - caution is needed as a fall could be fatal.

On Sunday, my wife and I hiked this trail. The Frišauf path dragged on for us, a bit reminiscent of Hanzovo Prisojnik, traversing sideways along the wall. Markings have faded in some places but are findable. Long Ridge offers an interesting secured entry. They say it is the most airy spot in this part of the Alps. Then it is a ridge path, more or less exposed. Before the exit, before Štruca, it surprises with a short overhanging part. Very varied trail, offers a lot and deserves more visits than the logbook shows. Return to Kamniška Bistrica.

What a good mountain, shame I didn't go up earlier. Plenty of climbing, views, exposure along the wavy ridge. Adrenaline also from route-finding because markings are completely faded, but it goes even if chamois points the way.

Today over Gamsov skrč and pathless under Štruca to marked path to Skuta. At top of the notch turned left and traversed Long Ridge.
And since fog limited views today, at Mlinarsko sedlo, hoping for sun, I decided to also visit Grintovec. Summit was really in sun, but lower fog took over again. zavijanje z očmi
