Uf, the soul just sings.
I'd go together sometime, what to climb?

I have a question for winter ascent experts on this mountain, namely, can you get from Turska gora towards Brana with crampons, ice axe and helmet or is some belay needed too? thanks, best

Was on Turska gora 26.3. descent to Kotličevi with crampons and ice axe, quite demanding. Plan was also Brana, but too dangerous (no visible markers, lots of wet snow) Helmet through Turski žleb is mandatory.

Thanks, what about the path from Kamniško sedlo towards Okrešelj, is it "accessible" in current conditions?

On Saturday there were still no tracks. I'd say it's still quite a tough variant (lots of snow)

Today I was on Brana - it was simply fantastic. I ascended the north side, in the direction that's currently the only safe one on the shady side. But let's go step by step.

You can get to Jermanca without issues; winter left just some larger rocks on the road, so watch out with very low cars. The trail to the saddle is dry, but soon after 9 am also muddy. Especially up before the saddle. From the saddle to Brana it changes - I got under Brana around 7 am and just caught good snow. It was sinking in places already, but I progressed relatively fast, even though I was first today with no track ahead. Where the second signpost is there's a huge chute that'll probably head to Styria these days. Be careful and follow the track, as it goes higher and no issues there. Of course for early hours, later very dangerous here due to south-facing snowmelt. To the ridge no big problems, chose natural passages and met original path on ridge. Then it soon vanishes and only ascent option in these conditions due to massive cornices over Brana's roof is from ridge far right. Did that part relatively quickly, but know Brana well, equipped right and have experience. Left poles at summit crossing to return same way, roof partly icy and can miss own prints. Some know what I mean. Descent very carefully as snow softening and feared slab release - low chance but up here think everything, best worst case. After Styrian Express no issues, repeat - early morning hours! Hut at saddle closed.

Gear: morning full winter gear essential and two ice axes, later in south snow crampons out as it sinks deep.

WARNING: Current conditions not at all suitable for beginners or non-winter hikers. All applies to early morning. Orientation times:

Jermanca - 5:10
Pastirci - 6:05
Kamniško sedlo - 6:55
Brana - 8:00

From Kamniško sedlo down you can slide some 100m on scree (now snow) on your butt. Some lady hiker snapped me, recommend for pics! cool

Nice and especially safe mountaineering greet from Kamnik seductress,

Jure

From Jermanca past not fully renovated hut inside at Kamniško sedlo to Brana. A bit of fog, a bit of sun, some rain drops but still nice! North side some snow but trail under it.

I also visited Brana today from Jermanca. Only warning - rocks big and small falling happily, helmet really mandatory.

As seen from your pics (adnap), the path to Planjava is dry. Thanks for the comment. LPnasmeh

I think it's mainly dry, but on the picture you can see two narrow tongues that need to be crossed. I'm attaching a link to this photo (hope it works for me).path to Planjava

Today my colleague and I set off early in the morning to Brana. At Jerman's gates we witnessed the sunrise, nothing better!!nasmeh
Then we approached the top and found that the winds were mixing too much, so we descended to the exit from Bosa's gully, where we found suitable terrain for safe paraglider takeoff. The path entirely dry, at the top of Brana we met lots of chamois. By 7am already in the valley.

I was on Brana today too, probably met zamet. Nice tour, ideal weather and views around, only chamois triggering rocks, so helmet warmly recommended (I didn't have one today). Summit spacious, grass, what more do you want.

I was on Brana yesterday too. At toll in Logarska dolina I arrived at ten past seven which is of course too late and had to pay jezen

But that didn't spoil the nice trip. Lots of people to Kamniško sedlo (as expected). In the wall itself (and later on Brana) quite some had helmet (yes, Slovenians, no mistake). Praiseworthy! One even clipped into the cables!

But on Brana almost processions (didn't expect). True, two big groups there in my time. On path just before upper difficult part couple pebbles flew, one hit me in upper arm. Nothing serious, on head without helmet maybe just bump but still shows wisdom of wearing helmet.

At top sat a bit with that group. On descent at least in that chimney, if not elsewhere, some additional protections would help. On path lots of scree so caution needed. Leader of one group warned some mountaineer not to step off path so as not to trigger rocks. On descent I rather complicated a bit and went to harder (more stable) rock.

Also on descent from saddle back to Okrešelj a couple more flew by...

On way back planned to stop in Gornji Grad at beautiful cathedral but closed. Weekend, mid-season, obviously on vacation...zmeden
