Not surprising at all. Nearby Krim and all around is just one of the bear centers. Like Javorniki with surrounding valleys. Especially Loška dolina. If no urgent errands, better not hang around Krim and nearby areas unless in a group.

Panic without need again!
Bears are widespread all over Slovenia. So far just a couple close encounters between bear and human. Principle is bear avoids human in wide berth, so only "super smart" ones stalking bears got nabbed.
No worries at all on Krim, Javorniki (any of them), Snežnik, in short all Slovenia.
No panic!

I'm not causing panic. Just, if you bump into a sow with cub she won't retreat. Just warning you might encounter bear, but not necessarily.

A bear in the Trenta valley is nothing unusual, they already have quite a few permanent ones. Soon it will be a hundred and fifty years since the unfortunate Tožbar (Špik) met one of them . . .
