Koča na Dobrči

Description of mountain hut:
The hut is situated on the edge of the steep southern slope of Dobrča, from where a unique view extends eastwards towards Kriška gora, Storžič and the distant Kamnik-Savinja Alps. To the south, the view stretches far across the Ljubljana Basin and Jelovica, while Lake Bled glistens below the Julian Alps to the west. But what lies to the north? The answer can be found at the top of Dobrča.

Culinary offer:
You won't leave the hut hungry, as you'll surely find something to suit your taste in the varied offer. They always offer at least 3 different stews, buckwheat žganci, sauerkraut, roasts, blood sausages, roast pork ribs, raw struklji and apple strudel, and sour milk in the grazing season.

Opening hours:
1 June to 30 September: non-stop
off-season: from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening, and on public holidays (from the afternoon before the holiday until the evening of the last holiday day). Open for groups by arrangement on other days.

access for disabled persons or persons with poor health is possible by prior arrangement with the manager
pets are not allowed in the dining area for sanitary reasons

Going even higher?
From the hut, you can climb to the top of Dobrča in about half an hour, while lovers of longer hikes have an undulating marked mountain trail to the Preval pasture and over the southern grassy slopes to the top of Begunjščica.
