The hut (Eisenkappler Hutte) is situated on the east slope of Obir on the Austrian side of the Karavanken mountains. An asphalt road leads almost all the way to the hut that is opened in tourist season. There are some information boards by the hut that tell us about the history of these places (nearby mine, an old hut and so on).
