Access to the starting point:
We drive to Murska Sobota, then continue to the Hodoš border crossing. At Gornji Petrovci, turn left from a slightly larger crossroads towards Kuzma and Martinje. When you arrive in Šulinci, leave the main road at the Village Fire House, which turns right, and continue straight ahead on a side road, passing the Fire House on the left. When Šulinci ends, you will soon reach the Balon memorial, and we drive about 50 m further to a marked parking area, where we park.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the asphalt road in the direction of the village Boreča, leaving the main road after a few minutes, when the signs for Martinje and the holiday home direct you to the right onto a side road. Continue along the narrower asphalt road, which loses its asphalt coating after the holiday home, and then continue along the edge of the forest, where you pass another house. The way ahead leads partly through the woods and partly along the edge of meadows, and climbs only slightly.
After about 35 minutes of walking, we arrive at a crossroads where we continue straight along an unmarked, worse road (to the left, the marked path to Tromejnik and another path to Srebrni breg), which climbs steeply and leads us in a few minutes to a hamlet of a few houses, where the road becomes asphalted again. There is a short climb and we arrive at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Martinje, which is located a few steps to the left of the path and from which we have a nice view.
From the chapel, continue along the road, which leads you past the fire station, and then, with an easy climb and beautiful views that reach all the way to the Alps, you will reach the main road, which you follow to the left. We continue along the main road, which for a while still passes through the scenic part, then the view is limited to the nearby forest, and we arrive at a crossroads where the road to Hungary branches off to the right, and we continue straight on towards Kuzma and Grad. We walk along the main road for a short distance and then, in front of a nearby house, we turn left onto cart track, which will take us to Srebrni breg in a few minutes.
