Zavetišče na Biba planini - Goli vrh (Šavnice) (on unmarked path)

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Kamnik, then continue along the regional road through the Tuhinj valley. Just after the village of Laze v Tuhinju, you will reach a petrol station, at which the road turns left towards the villages of Golice, Češnjice v Tuhinju and Okrog pri Motniku and Menina mountain pasture. The tarmac road continues through the two villages, then the tarmac ends and the road continues to climb higher, leading out of the forest and onto the Menina plateau mountain pasture. Here the road is laid, and then we quickly pass the Hut on Limovska planina to reach the parking lot, which is located just below the Shelter on Biba mountain pasture. Park in the parking lot mentioned above, which is located along the road that continues further towards the Dom na Menini mountain pasture.
b) From the motorway Maribor - Ljubljana, take the exit Vransko and then continue driving in the direction of Kamnik. At Špitalič, take the second exit to the right, where you will see the signs for Menino mountain pasture and Okrog pri Motniku. After the nearby church, turn left and then follow the narrower road up towards the settlement of Okrog pri Motniku. When you reach the main road leading from Češnjice v Tuhinju to Menina mountain pasture, continue to the right and then the asphalt ends above the village. After a few kilometres on a dirt road, you come out of the forest on the plateau of Menina mountain pasture, where the road is laid. You will pass the Hut on Limovska planina, and then quickly reach the parking lot, which is located just below the Shelter on Biba mountain pasture. Park in the parking lot mentioned above, which is located on the road that continues further towards the Dom na Menini mountain pasture.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first walk along the road or parallel mountain path to the nearby Zavetišče na Biba planini, and from there continue to the nearby Chapel of St Anthony.
From the chapel, continue along the marked trail, which turns slightly to the left after the chapel and continues towards Dom na Menini planini, while we continue to the right after the nearby watering point on a less well-beaten path, along which we see the inscription Goli vrh on a rock. The path continues crosswise to the right, quickly reaching a nearby stone steel cable, along which you then climb. A little higher, you reach the next pasture, where you see another sign for Goli vrh, which directs you to the right, over the fence, to the pasture. Crossing the corral is relatively easy, as the crossing is regulated for mountaineers. Once in the pasture, the path is somewhat lost, but if you follow it in a north-easterly direction, that is to say, the other side of the pasture, you will occasionally follow a beaten track, which is, however, in several places torn up by grazing or is overgrown. Once you have crossed the stone fence again at a well-maintained point, the path leads you into the woods, through which it continues without any significant change in altitude. After a few minutes, we leave the forest, where we again cross one of the grazing fences, and we continue along a fainter track slightly to the left, reaching the next watering point. Here we continue slightly to the right, following the occasional track, and then continue slightly to the left, where we can see the nearby ridge above the next watering point. Before reaching the ridge, where there is a small monument, you will reach the usual marked path leading from Dom na Menini planini towards Šavnice and also the marked path from Zavetišče na Biba planini towards Šavnice.
Here, continue to the right, following cart track, which turns into lane of the forest, before crossing a grazing fence. For a short time, the path leads through the forest, and then we arrive at the pastures of Šavnice, where we first pass the summit of Goleg vrh on the right, and then, after a short descent, we begin to climb towards Golem vrh, the highest peak of Šavnice, which we reach in a few minutes, with increasingly beautiful views that reach all the way to the highest peaks of the Kamniško Savinjske Alps.
