We drive from Trenta or Kranjska Gora to pass Vršič. We park there.

From Vršič, we take a road that traverses the slopes of Šitna glava to the right. A road from Rjavčeva hut soon joins ours and our path rises and leads us to Vrtaca in a few minutes time. We continue on the right path that descends slightly (left: Mojstrovka) and we soon reach the valley of Tamar. We traverse the slopes west and reach Sleme. We can see some small lakes, in which Jalovec can be seen. We go a bit to the right and over a meadow to the top that we reach in about 10 minutes.
