We drive from Trenta or Kranjska Gora to pass Vršič. We park there.

From Vršič we head to the way that starts under the scree of Mojstrovka. The path goes left and descends a little. We go past the slopes under Mojstrovka and walk towards Zadnja Trenta. On the origin of the path we come across some easy technical problems, but the steel wire helps us. The way goes mostly downwards, except for some small ascents on the way, so we get the felling of getting to Trenta soon. The path from Trenta connects at 1500m and goes towards Jalovec. We go forward to Zavetišče pod Špičkom (right goes to Jalovec). After 30 minutes from here, we get to crossroad to which a path form trenta connects to, and goes to zavetiš?e pod Špičkom. We go up and right here. We soon get out of the forest and get to the crossroad where we turn left (right = Jalovec). Zavetišče pod Špičkom stands under a pointy rock named Špiček. We only have few more minutes to get to it. We can take a rest or eat something at the house. Refuge has a winter bivouac. From here on we head northeast. We go by the scree and get to the difficult part of the path. It goes on the walls of Veliki Ozebnik. The path gets very steep, so we have safety catches for help. The steepness reducts after an hour, but not the difficultness of the path. We go through Veliki Ozebnik almost vertical now. We notice a steel wire now and then. We get over another gorge very carefully because of the falling rocks. We get to a little plateau named Jezerce. A path from Jalovška škrbina connects us. We continue to the left and into the wall. The path gets steep. Some of safety catches are there for help. We soon step on the ridge of Jalovec. Watch out for storms. We follow this mostly wide ridge to the top. Some steps before the top, the path from Kotlovo sedlo connectsto us. The top isn't really spaceous but you can find a place for yourself there. The view is most beautiful when looking towards Mangart.
