Access to the starting point:
Once in Novo mesto, follow the route Metlika. After 9 km, turn right off the main road in the route Vinja vas, which you pass through, and at the end of the village there is a church on the right hand side, where you park your vehicle.
Path description:
Behind the church, we immediately see a beautiful footpath that climbs steadily above the village of Podgrad. Follow this path to the nearby summit, which is reached after about 20 minutes' walk.
This used to be the castle path leading to the castle.
