Turjak - Županova jama

Access to the starting point:
From Ljubljana, drive to Kočevje or vice versa, and follow the road to Turjak. When you arrive in Turjak, turn right (left from Kočevje) and park in the large parking lot next to the cooperative house.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the main road and cross it carefully at the pedestrian crossing, and on the other side, take the road towards Gradež and Grosupljem. At first, we climb up the pavement, which offers a beautiful view towards Gora, where the Church of St. Achac is located. When the Turjak settlement ends, the pavement ends for a few 10 metres, and when you reach the Gradež settlement, continue on the pavement again.
We continue along the pavement until we reach a small pass, where the pavement ends and we continue along the marked asphalt road. There is a short descent, and then we reach the municipality of Grosuplje, where the path leads us through the settlements of Škocjan and Velike Lipljene in a few short ascents and descents.
In Veliki Lipljene, the signs for Županova jama and Tabor above Cerovo direct us slightly to the right onto a side road, which turns into a forest behind the settlement and leads us to a crossroads near Županova jama.
Here, take a sharp right and you will quickly reach Županov's Cave, which is located slightly behind the tourist facilities.
