Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Pomurje motorway at exit Lenart v Slovenskih goricah and follow the road towards Gornja Radgona. At Benedikt in Slovenske gorice, turn right towards Sveti Trinity and after about 1400 metres turn left towards Sveti Trem Kralje. There is a climb of a few 100 metres, then park in the parking lot below the Church of the Holy Three Kings.
b)Take the road to Gornja Radgona, then follow the road towards Lenart in Slovenske gorice. At Benedikt in Slovenske gorice turn left towards Sveti Trinity and after about 1400 metres turn left towards Sveti Trem Kralje. There is a climb of a few 100 metres and then you park in the parking lot below the Church of the Holy Three Kings.
Path description:
From the starting point, walk to the church, and after the church turn right towards Negova, where you walk along an asphalt road that descends gently. When you reach the valley, go right, and a few 10 m further on, go left across the stream. On the other side of the bridge go left again, then follow the dirt road up to the nearby house (be careful here because of the dogs (two were loose at the time of writing)), where you go right into the woods. A steeper climb through the forest follows, and at the nearby farm you reach a dirt road, along which you continue your ascent. The road splits in the woods and we take a slight left, with further markings along the way. The road quickly changes to cart track, and before the old farmhouse we take a left onto a grassy cart track. A short crossing follows and you reach another house, at which point you reach another dirt road. Follow the road down to a left-hand bend, and go straight on from the bend to cart track, which leads you along the edge of the wood to the next road. Continue straight ahead, first through the woods, then past a house to reach an asphalt road, which you follow up to the left. Continue on the asphalt road, following the signs at the crossroads. You will soon reach the settlement Negova, where you will continue to follow the signs. Follow the asphalt road until you reach the centre of Negova, where you will find the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and Negova Castle.
