We drive from Preddvor towards Jezersko. We drive for another kilometre away from restaurant Kanomir. We come to signposts where we direct to left after marks for hospital Krtina. We follow the road till a big parking lot at a sign »Prepoved nadaljnje vožnje« (Further driving forbidden).

We start at the parking lot and continue on a road we parked by. We come to a barrier after couple of ten metres. Road soon makes a sharp right turn and brings us to a crossroads. We orient to left road going towards Krtina hospital. Road which rises soberly leadsover a bridge and comes out of the forest after it. Here a path towards hospital branches to right. Road on a clearing makes some sharp turns and goes again into a forest. It keeps rising and brings us to a bigger clearing where a hut is standing. We continue walking on a road which soon brings us to a crossroad. We continue walking on the right road which is getting worse. It brings us from hunting hut to ruins at the end of the road in 30 minutes. Here we continue walking between both ruins. Path goes into a forest and slightly rises on a nice little path. This path brings us to unmarked crossroads in 10 minutes. We direct on the right upper way. Path soon comes out of the forest to steep grassy slopes. Path crosses those slopes in sober gradient in the lower part. After this slope it brings us to an unexpressed valley. Two ways are possible here. We orient on the right one over a bottom of the valley to a little saddle. We orient to left at the saddle and continue the path on a boundary ridge. When the path comes out of the forest to slope of Mali Pečovnik a beautiful view opens. We can climb to the top of Mali Pečovnik in some steps. Path drops a little at first and rises the top in slight gradient. Top has a nice view. From the top of Mali Pečovnik we direct on a ridge towards North. After a short descent the path brings us to a meadow which starts rising slightly. At the end of the meadow path turns slightly left and rises over a short steep high jump. Then the path goes between a dwarf pine still on a boundary edge. Be careful here in summer time because of the snakes. Path rises through a dwarf pine all the way to the top where a sign for state frontier is standing.
